    It is interesting that everyone, bar those two Alpines really, certaining amongst the front runners are on the medium tyres, having done the first stint on the soft. I think coming into the weekend, most people predicted it would be the hard tyres that would be the preferred tyre. When it got to race day, starting on one of those harder compounds would have been so compromising at the race start, that they all opted for a soft tyres to get off the line quicker.

    Kimi Antonelli has some breathing space now and has a decent gap to Max Verstappen in second place. The Italian is also clocking fastest laps on those medium tyres.

    Update from Mercedes who say it is a suspected failure in the power unit for George Russell but they will need to investigate it further, once they get the car back.

    So now we've got a mix of medium tyres near the front sprinkled with some softs towards the rear of the field.

    Charles Leclerc is in sixth place and is now having to pass Isack Hadjar for fifth. The Ferrari man is not happy with the Red Bull man's defending, and he nearly ends up on the grass.

    He's out with some kind of technical failure, he grinds to a halt and gets out of the car but he stops the car in a difficult position. There is going to be a safety car which is going to eliminate that lead of Kimi Antonelli. Everyone is going to close up behind him. It will give everyone who hasn't had a pit stop yet, a cheap one to do that.

    And now Mercedes have said it was a power-unit failure.

    The virtual safety car is deployed and cars pile into the pits. Kimi Antonelli leads, Max Verstappen is second and Lewis Hamilton is now third.

    Antonelli is in and gets rid of those soft tyres. Lando Norris has jumped up the order and is now ninth.
