  1. Pressley 'proud' of players in 'very big win'published at 17:26 GMT 29 November 2025

    FT: Dundee 3-1 St Mirren

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland: "A very big win in terms of confidence and breaking consecutive defeats. We showed the things we talked about all week - turning good performances into winning performances.

"To do that, you need the extra percentages and we did that in abundance. The players' attitude towards the game was terrific.

"We went with a really offensive team and thankfully we got the right outcome.

"There's a degree of frustration in the support just now and that's understandable, so the players had to contend with that. I'm really proud of them.

"The atmosphere wasn't brilliant and we had to find a way, but we responded brilliantly."

  2. Which run will Killie continue?published at 17:24 GMT 29 November 2025

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (17:45)

The pressure is mounting on Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell after six straight defeats.

That run came shortly after they won 2-0 away to today's visitors, who have since only won once in seven outings.

Indeed, Killie also won 2-1 when United visited in League Cup action in August and the Tannadice side have not beaten their Ayrshire opponents in eight meetings since a 4-0 victory in 2022.

A win would lift not only the gloom for Kilmarnock but take them up to ninth, one point behind the visitors, who alternatively could move to within a point of sixth-placed Falkirk.

  3. Dundee capable of top six?published at 17:21 GMT 29 November 2025

    FT: Dundee 3-1 St Mirren

    Rory Loy
Former Dundee striker on BBC Sportsound

Dundee need to kick on. They've struggled to back these kind of victories with even a draw.

These games can be just as tricky as the big games, because there's an expectation to win and they've managed to do that.

They'll be trying to get up the league, so they aren't looking over the shoulder. There's no reason why they can't aim for the top six.

  4. Kucherenko dropped as United change fivepublished at 17:17 GMT 29 November 2025

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (17:45)

United boss Jim Goodwin makes five changes from last weekend's humbling defeat at home to Falkirk.

Under-fire goalkeeper Yevhen Kucherenko is out of the squad. He's replaced in the starting line-up by Dave Richards, while 21-year-old Ruairidh Adams has been recalled from his loan at East Fife and makes the bench.

Outfield, centre-half Ross Graham and striker Max Watters are back in the starting line-up for Goodwin's men, along with midfielders Ryan Strain and Panutche Camara are also in United's XI.

Bert Esselink, Vicko Sevelj, Amar Fatah and Ivan Dolcek are on the bench.

  5. Watkins handed first league start of seasonpublished at 17:15 GMT 29 November 2025

    Kilmarnock v Dundee United (17:45)

Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell makes three changes from the 3-1 defeat by Motherwell at Rugby Park last week.

Zac Williams, Tom Lowery and Greg Kiltie are replaced in the starting line-up with defender Ethan Brown, midfielder Brad Lyons and forward Marley Watkins.

Watkins gets his first league start of the season having played a total of 57 minutes of Premiership football this term.

  9. Massive win for Dundeepublished at 17:11 GMT 29 November 2025

    FT Dundee 3-1 St Mirren

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

You can't overstate the importance of this win for Dundee.

Many had them down to continue to struggle, but to fall behind in the manner they did and earn a 3-1 win shows they have something about them.

They were robust when required and finished off their opponents on the counter.

St Mirren will be so frustrated again. Having got ahead, they conceded cheaply. Once again, they just lacked cutting edge to get back in this despite pinning the home side in.

Much to think about for Stephen Robinson.

  10. Hearts happy with point?published at 17:09 GMT 29 November 2025

    FT: Motherwell 0-0 Hearts

    Ian McCall
Former Falkirk manager on BBC Sportsound

If any team deserved to win the game, it was Motherwell.

They pass the ball with real pace and are very fluid. They are a good watch and they won't go away.

As for Hearts, I don't think they played very well. Hearts will probably be happy with a point.

  14. FULL-TIME Dundee 3-1 St Mirrenpublished at 16:56 GMT 29 November 2025

    A huge win for Dundee.

They're up to ninth, four points clear of Livingston and, crucially, dragging St Mirren into the mire as the Buddies drop to 10th.

Stephen Robinson's side pushed in the second half for a leveller, but Dundee's defence repelled everything that was thrown at them.

And, just to rub salt in the wound, Joe Westley scored a screamer to wrap up all three points.
