No idea how Maresca is linked to the City job. We are so slow and predictable, only play well against better teams when Enzo is forced to change his tactics

That aggression, that's why Newcastle went up, Anthony Gordon winning that ball against Reece James. Gordon has been brilliant. They've not given him a millimetre so far today.

Lovely ball in by Anthony Gordon and Woltemade sticks out a boot to guide it home.

Chelsea look a little perturbed to say the least at a raucous St James' Park.

Pedro Neto has charged over to the touchline to have a go at the fourth official.

It appears he's still angry after play was not stopped when Malo Gusto was down earlier.

First break, brilliant tackle in the midfield by Anthony Gordon, by the time the ball is put in at the back post Anthony Gordon is there again. When it drops down to Nick Woltemade it is the easiest tap for him from six yards. After the difficulty he had against Sunderland, he'll be happy with that.

Brilliant work by Anthony Gordon as he pinches the ball away from Wesley Fofana in the middle and Newcastle work the ball down the right. Jacob Murphy crosses and Gordon's shot is superbly saved by Robert Sanchez, but Nick Woltemade is there to drive in the loose ball.

    Newcastle 0-0 Chelsea

It is a fast start by Newcastle as they are quick to close down Chelsea players, but it is the visitors who have the first chance.

Alejandro Garnacho and Cole Palmer link up well on the left before the latter loops a shot from the edge of the box that lands on top of the net. It did have a backpeddling Aaron Ramsdale a little concerned though.
