My opinion on Thomas Frank is that I don't think he's an impact manager. He's a principle manager. If you're going to hire someone like Frank he need's a bit more time to implement his work.

This game has been peppered with mis-placed passes and poor decisions.

Tottenham and Liverpool met four times last season and they all produced goals: 1-5, 0-4, 1-0, 3-6.

We'll be lucky to see one goal tonight judging by the opening 20-odd minutes.

I don't think it's a free kick, Conor Bradley has got into an awkward position, he backs into Djed Spence. I think Bradley has got lucky there. He should clear it rather than trying to be clever.

It's safe, very cautious the way that both teams have played in this opening 17 minutes. Both teams have definitely gone with a 'glass half empty' approach in terms of not conceding and packing the midfield.

Djed Spence lets out a yell of frustration after he is adjudged to have fouled Conor Bradley inside the Liverpool box after Lucas Bergvall's clever pass.

Was that really a foul? Spurs feel they were harshly treated there.

This is tight and edgy. Not a lot between the two teams in the opening 15 minutes. Spurs are yet to register an attempt on target.

Good play from Tottenham, kept the ball well. There was no pressure on the ball, Cristian Romero was able to step forward with Mohammed Kudus trying to provide that creativity.

Now the action switches to the other end and a header by Randal Kolo Muani drops wide.

After a slow start, this is turning into a decent contest.

Mohammed Kudus does barge into him, Alexis Mac Allister has got up to try and win it and Kudus barges into him. Liverpool are starting to look dominant with Tottenham on the back foot.

And it's a decent free-kick.

It's sent in by Dominik Szoboszlai and it finds Virgil van Dijk whose header is straight at Guglielmo Vicario.

That's the first big clear chance.

Alexis Mac Allister is flattened by Mohammed Kudus who runs into the Liverpool midfielder at full pelt.

Free-kick to the visitors inside the Tottenham half out wide.

Arne Slot has been trying to find the formation and it's hard to put your finger on what formation Liverpool are playing because there's so many rotations.

They keep the ball and they're very comfortable on the ball.

Then a long ball forward and Hugo Ekitike is onto it and seems to get the better of Cristian Romero before the Spurs captain makes a good recovery.
