Lincoln fans will be lapping this up all the way back to the East Midlands.

They knock the long-time leaders Cardiff off their perch and look well set for automatic promotion.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield move into the play-off spaces ahead of the 3pm kick-offs.

Talking of which, previews for those are coming right up.

Lincoln have done exactly what they needed to do.

They were patient, good in possession and took their chances.

The fans are justified in singing 'we are top of the league' - Cardiff were just out of ideas.

As a team, Lincoln were brilliant, Cardiff huffed and puffed, but couldn't blow their house down.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:31 GMT 7 March

    Grimsby 1-1 Bromley

Eighteen games unbeaten for Bromley now who will be happy enough with a point from a hard-fought encounter here at Blundell Park.

Both teams had chances to win it, with Grimsby probably having the best of them although they needed Jackson Smith to produce two worldies near the end to bag the draw.

It is now eight wins, four draws and just one defeat in their last 13 for Grimsby who are turning themselves into a tough team to beat.

Good game between two good sides.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:29 GMT 7 March

    Salford 2-0 Barnet

A comfortable win in the end for Salford who needed that. After five losses in their last six, this was a step back in the right direction.

Karl Robinson rang the changes with five new faces from the side who lost to Grimsby last Tuesday and they delivered, putting the game to bed at the end of the first half with two goals from Rosaire Longelo and Matt Butcher.

Barnet fail to string three wins together again (which has eluded them all season) and they never really looked like bucking that trend.

  5. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 GMT 7 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Lincoln

Patient Lincoln dazzle Cardiff to usurp their hosts at the top of the table.

It was a tight encounter but while the hosts dominated time on the ball, the Imps made the most of their precious moments to attack.

Finally Rob Street was able to provide the breakthrough after calmly needling a strike through to the net before Dom Jefferies consolidated their lead with a fantastic run.

A win worth a hefty prize.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:28 GMT 7 March

    Grimsby 1-1 Bromley

That is another belter from Jackson Smith who dismisses the congratulations from his teammates for that save in proper old school fashion.

Mitch Pinnock did brilliantly to swing a cross in from the left corner flag and Omar Sowumni has met that firmly heading down and just inside the far post from eight yards.

Smith, who kept them level with a superb save from an Ashley Charles free kick, has dived down to his left to turn around the post.

  7. 'Lincoln exceed expectations'published at 14:27 GMT 7 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Lincoln

    Michael Hortin
    Assistant Editor, BBC Radio Lincolnshire

The work rate today has been phenomenal.

That's what it's all about, they've kept going right until the end.

    It's exceeded what we expected.

  8. Postpublished at 14:26 GMT 7 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Lincoln

Less than four minutes to go here as a Cardiff effort goes wide.

The fans are filtering out now. The place they've held at the top of League One for so long now has finally been toppled.

  9. Postpublished at 14:26 GMT 7 March

    Grimsby 1-1 Bromley

Reece Staunton has had a cracking game at left wing back, both going forward and back and has got a beauty of a left foot.

His crosses have been superb and now he unleashes a hammer which very nearly catches out Grant Smith at the near post.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:25 GMT 7 March

    Huddersfield 1-0 Rotherham

Full-time and Huddersfield grind out the three points to momentarily go into the top-six!

It wasn't a classic by any means but the Terriers got the job done thanks to an own goal from Kenny Agbaire - who headed past his own keeper with 15 minutes remaining.

There were a pocket of boos by some Huddersfield fans who remain unhappy with their side's performance despite picking up the victory.

Terriers boss Liam Manning does not seem too bothered at the moment, applauding the fans as he leaves the field, and he will hope Wycombe fail to beat play-off rivals Bolton Wanderers later today to remain in the play-off spots tonight.

As for Rotherham, they will be disappointed not to have picked up at least a point this afternoon and remain deep in trouble, still two points from safety before Blackpool's home clash against fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic at 15:00.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:24 GMT 7 March

    Huddersfield 1-0 Rotherham

    What a moment here!

A terrific cross from deep lands to Liam Kelly who hits a shot towards goal and Kelly is claiming handball but the referee points for a corner instead.

Kelly then goes for goal from the resulting corner but it goes well over and that should be that.

  12. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:23 GMT 7 March

    Salford 2-0 Barnet

Five minutes for Salford to keep things shored up at the back.

  13. Postpublished at 14:22 GMT 7 March

    Huddersfield 1-0 Rotherham

A good ball from the right finds the head of Rotherham substitute Gabriele Bianchieri but the youngster's effort goes harmlessly off target.

    90 seconds left.

  14. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:22 GMT 7 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Lincoln

Nine extra minutes. The home fans will hope all of them will be theirs to claim.

  15. 'He went down too easily'published at 14:21 GMT 7 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Lincoln

    Gavin Gordon
Former Lincoln striker on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

I have to say, he went down way too easily there.

He had the opportunity to take the shot, he did superbly to get into that position.

  16. Postpublished at 14:21 GMT 7 March

    Grimsby 1-1 Bromley

Free kick 24 yards out for Grimsby after George McEachran is felled by Ben Krauhaus. Could the hosts nick this?

Er... no in a word. His effort hits the wall.

  17. Postpublished at 14:20 GMT 7 March

    Huddersfield 1-0 Rotherham

A long free-kick is sent into the Huddersfield area but Cameron Humphreys puts his head in where it hurts under a high boot by Jamal Baptiste.

The home side can run down the clock a little here.

Huddersfield are heading into the play-off places as it stands.

  18. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:20 GMT 7 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Lincoln

There's been a few penalty appeals this game but it doesn't look like we are getting any.

This time it's Lincoln asking for the call as one of their men hits the deck but the referee is quick to wave it away.

  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:19 GMT 7 March

    Huddersfield 1-0 Rotherham

There will be five additional minutes at the end of this one for Rotherham to try and salvage something from the game.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 14:19 GMT 7 March

    Salford 2-0 Barnet

Phillip Chinedu replaces Romeley Crichlow for Barnet while Fabio Borini and Princewill Ehibhatiomhan replaces Rosaire Longelo and Cole Stockton.
