  1. 'Norwich hadn't played a good side like Boro'published at 17:04 GMT 31 January

    FT: Middlesbrough 1-0 Norwich

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

Luke Ayling is smiling and laughing on the pitch down there, and when you talk about experience and seeing the game out he has done that - he is joy to watch.

Norwich were a good side and they posed a threat, but they hadn't played a good side like Boro. We are a good side and we find ways of winning games.

Every single one of them Middlesbrough players stuck together this afternoon.

The referee is getting booed here and I actually think he has made all the right decisions today.

Middlesbrough are resilient, they work their sock off and they know how to win games.

Honours even in a fiercely contested affair at The Den.

They had 104 minutes, including stoppages, to try and come out on top but neither side was able to in the end.

And after all that, the goals were scored in a two-minute period in the first half.

Andre Brooks put the Blades ahead in the 17th minute with a neat finish at the near post from the edge of the box. But Mihailo Ivanovic ensures the Lions get a share of the spoils with his poacher's goal in the 19th minute.

    Millwall 1-1 Sheff Utd

Tristan Crama sends a great ball into the box for Millwall but no-one in a blue shirt can get on the end of it.

    That might be that.

  4. Postpublished at 17:01 GMT 31 January

    Millwall 1-1 Sheff Utd

We've played the seven added minutes but we might still have a little while longer after Andre Brooks went down for the Blades.

    Ipswich 1-1 Preston

It's full-time and Ipswich and Preston are forced to share the spoils after an enthralling second half at Portman Road.

Lewis Gibson had prodded North End in front at the second time of asking with less than 20 minutes of regular time remaining and at that stage the visitors were good value for their lead.

Ipswich battled back, however, and earned themselves a penalty in the 90th minute when Jack Clarke was fouled inside the box.

Clarke dusted himself off and scored from 12 yards, although replays showed he kicked the ball twice with his attempt - meaning the penalty should have been retaken.

Ipswich's late goal means they stay third, now level on points with Hull City, but lose ground on Middlesbrough - now seven points behind Kim Hellberg's side.

    Millwall 1-1 Sheff Utd

Millwall are probing in the final third but can't find the incisive pass through a compact Blades backline.

    QPR 2-1 Coventry

Nicolas Madsen celebrates in front of the QPR fansImage source, PA Media

If you thought Frank Lampard was prickly this past week, just wait...

That's eight away games without a win in all competitions and two 2-1 defeats in games they have led in the past five days.

Josh Eccles headed home a Jack Rudoni cross to put the Championship leaders infront early in the second half but Richard Kone flicked the equaliser past Carl Rushworth who then parried Harvey Vale's low cross into the path of Nicolas Madsen to slam the winner.

It might have been more, you know. Sweet revenge for the 7-1 thumping at the CBS Arena in August.

All is not right at the Sky Blues.

From 10 points clear to level on points in what seems the blink of an eye.

    Watford 0-2 Swansea

    Watford's wobble continues.

That's now four without a win and a play-off place is no longer in their own hands.

Swansea had lost seven of eight on the road but second-half goals from Marko Stamenic and Josh Key have wrapped up just a second win in 12 away games for the visitors to move away from trouble in the bottom half.

To make matters worse for the hosts Nestory Irankunda was sent-off late-on for violent conduct.

  10. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:56 GMT 31 January

    Millwall 1-1 Sheff Utd

They're battling until the last at The Den. Millwall's Femi Azeez and Blades full-back Harrison Burrows are embroiled in a bit of a coming together after some mutual shirt pulling.

A long old game this afternoon. After seven added minutes in the first half, we've also now got seven added minutes in the second period to play.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Norwich

Hayden Hackney lies on the floor in celebrationImage source, Getty Images

Boro cling on to a vital, vital three points in their push for promotion this season!

Hayden Hackney's first-half screamer separates the two teams for Boro who were made to fight for their victory.

Jovon Makama could, and probably should, have equalised for City who played good football throughout but Dael Fry made a vital interception after he rounded the keeper Sol Brynn to save the day for the home side.

With Coventry and Ipswich currently dropping points, this is a massive day for Kim Hellberg's side.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:54 GMT 31 January

    Oxford United 0-2 Birmingham City

Terrible result for second-bottom Oxford United as Birmingham pick up just their fourth away win of the season.

An own goal from the unfortunate Myles Peart-Harris gave Blues the lead midway through the first half when the ball ricocheted into him after a dangerous free-kick from the left.

The visitors doubled their advantage - and put the game beyond Oxford - when Carlos Vicente's beautiful backheel found Marvin Ducksch 18 yards out and the German bent in a beauty with his right foot into the far corner, leaving Jamie Cumming no chance.

    Blackburn 0-1 Hull

Lewis Koumas celebrates with his arms wide openImage source, PA Media

Big, big win for Hull City in their bid for promotion to the Premier League.

Lewis Koumas, on loan from Liverpool, provided a fine finish just four minutes into his debut from the bench to give the Tigers all three points.

That's now just one win in 14 games for Blackburn and their dismal home form continues. Rovers are in trouble in the drop zone.

    Portsmouth 3-0 West Brom

Ebou Adams jumps into the air to celebrateImage source, Shutterstock

A wonderful day for Portsmouth, a dark one for West Bromwich Albion.

Milli Alli teed-up Conor Chaplin to lash the opener and then kept his cool to slot his first Blues goal before the break, while Ebou Adams had the last word after Conor Chaplin's dink into the box.

John Mousinho's men are cooking at Fratton Park once again, but Eric Ramsay's Baggies are dropping like a stone and lose for the 11th time in 12 away games.

  15. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:53 GMT 31 January

    QPR 2-1 Coventry

Into SEVEN added minutes at Loftus Road where Daniel Bennie has gone close to a third for the R's.

Coventry need something, anything, from somewhere, anywhere...

  16. RED CARD - Nestory Irankunda (Watford)published at 16:51 GMT 31 January

    Watford 0-2 Swansea

Nestpry Irankunda has seen red after seeing red and pushing sub Liam Cullen over.

GOAL: Ipswich 1-1 Prestonpublished at 16:51 GMT 31 January

    Jack Clarke (90+2 mins)

Jack Clarke converts from the penalty spot for IpswichImage source, Getty Images

Jack Clarke delivers in the nick of time for Ipswich Town!

Clarke dispatches his effort from 12 yards but replays suggest he may have double-touched the ball after slipping on the spot and, by the letter of the law, should have been forced to retake his effort.

As we know, no VAR in the Championship though, and the goal stands!

  18. PENALTY TO IPSWICHpublished at 16:50 GMT 31 January

    Ipswich 0-1 Preston

Ipswich have a penalty, Jack Clarke has been fouled in the box.

  19. 'This game is far from over'published at 16:48 GMT 31 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Norwich

    Mark Drury
    BBC Tees commentator

Dael Fry stuck his big leg out and that is match saving block, that was a great interception to stop Norwich getting on back in this game.

There are not many people leaving this ground - this game is far from over yet.

  20. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:47 GMT 31 January

    Blackburn 0-1 Hull

That's not what Hull City and their travelling support wanted to see.

Seven minutes added on at Ewood Park. Can Blackburn find a late leveller?
