    Newcastle 2-0 PSV

Bruno Guimarães is going to continue for now. There's five minutes until the break so maybe they will look at the situation more closely then.

Lovely stuff from Liverpool as the ball is nodded down to Florian Wirtz in the box. He looks to open his body and take it on his left foot but he just couldn't manage it.

Guimares hasn't looked right all game, and I suspect he is playing with an injury. I always thought he would be taken off at half-time, but he's gone down now. Not to worry, Lewis Miley is more than a good alternate.

    Marseille 0-0 Liverpool

Another misplaced pass from Marseille that Liverpool can't capitalise on. You get the feeling this game is here for Liverpool if they can add that bit of extra quality.

    Newcastle 2-0 PSV

Lewis Miley is warming up because Bruno Guimarães is down now after hurting his ankle.

At 2-0 up, Eddie Howe may be tempted to not risk his captain any longer on the pitch.

Fermin Lopez draws Barcelona level with smart finish from a tight angle.

A lovely ball around the corner from Frenkie de Jong, Lopez connected well enough with the shot but goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek has to do better there.

Huge boost for Hansi Flick's side with around 10 minutes until half-time.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:36 GMT 21 January

    Chelsea 0-0 Pafos

Two big chances for Chelsea as a corner falls to Moisés Caicedo, whose goal-bound strike is pushed away by Jay Gorter.

The ball is then worked to Benoît Badiashile as Chelsea keep up the pressure but he nods a decent opportunity wide.

Frimpong's starting to get really comfortable in this Liverpool team. It took a little bit of time for him to settle but the last couple weeks, looking to really show quality in what he's doing.

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Liverpool are playing with a box in midfield, with Wirtz and Szoboszlai ahead of Mac Allister and Gravenberch. Their front players, Salah and Ekitike, are playing centrally too - only slightly wider - it is Liverpool's full-backs, Frimpong and Kerkez who are providing all the genuine width.

You can hear more from Warnock on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 GMT on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

  12. Newcastle take full advantagepublished at 20:34 GMT 21 January

    Newcastle 2-0 PSV

    Ciaran Kelly
BBC Sport reporter at St James' Park

PSV have played into Newcastle United's hands by repeatedly attempting to play out.

Newcastle struggled to break down bottom of the table Wolves at the weekend - but Eddie Howe's side have found joy time and time again tonight by pressing the Dutch champions high and forcing them into mistakes.

Yoane Wissa has led that press very effectively.

Dominik Szoboszlai's free-kick is headed clear but here come Liverpool again. There's not much urgency to their play, though.

If you are playing against players with the pace that Wissa and Gordon possess, then even the slightest bit of mistake, they will punish you for it. You can't believe how easy it was there. Clearly, Eddie Howe and his back-room staff have identified a weakness here and exploited it.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:33 GMT 21 January

    Chelsea 0-0 Pafos

Chelsea almost fall behind as Jaja's shot deflects heavily off Reece James and hits the post.

The visitors want a penalty, with their supporters drawing the symbol for the referee going to the screen, because Jaja's shot hit James' arm, but it was in a natural position.

    Big chance for Union St-Gilloise.

It's a header for Promise David, just seven yards out, but the Canadian can't beat Manuel Neuer in the Bayern goal.

Let off for Vincent Kompany's men.

    Newcastle are cruising!

Anthony Gordon gets his sixth Champions League goal of the season but once again it comes from a PSV mistake.

Yarek Gasiorowski hesitates in possession when facing his goal and Yoane Wissa pounces, gets into the box and squares for Gordon to finish.
