Janina Leitzig is the first keeper called into action as Caitlin Hayes heads goalwards from a corner.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

There's not much to say about the opening five minutes really.

Brighton have shaded the possession without creating anything clear cut in the way of chances.

Leicester meanwhile seem happy just to sit and see how the land lies.

  13. Palace equalise against promotion-chasing Charltonpublished at 14:53 BST 29 March

WSL: Crystal Palace 1-1 Charlton (half-time)

At Selhurst Park in WSL 2, Crystal Palace have scored an equaliser against Charlton Athletic in the third minute of first half injury time.

It has come from Wales international Hayley Ladd, who has played in the WSL with Bristol City, Birmingham, Manchester United and Everton, and she hit a low side-footed effort from the edge of the penalty area into the bottom corner.

Only a Charlton win would see them promoted today, although they would still remain in pole position if they could not get the three points.

Dario Vidosic is expecting to meet a Leicester team full of "emotion and fight" when his Brighton side visit King Power stadium on Sunday, and has challenged his players to match that intensity as they aim to end their own four-game winless run.

"This is going to be a different Leicester," said Vidosic. "This is them backs against the wall, they know that this week they are at home and they are playing a very, very important game."

The Foxes remained rooted to the foot of the table, three points adrift of safety, having lost their past six league games.

Yet Vidosic is wary that any complacency from his side could make for a tricky encounter.

"In terms of emotion and fight they are going to give absolutely everything.

"If we are not there and we are not going to be exactly the same, then it could be a very, very difficult afternoon."

Leicester City boss Rick Passmoor says that 'small margins' have been the difference in recent weeks, with his side falling foul of them yet again last time out as they suffered defeat against Aston Villa.

"We’re disappointed to come away from that result with nothing because of how we worked," said Passmoor. "It’s the small margins,” — the effort off the pitch has been exemplary."

Kirsty Hanson completed the turnaround for the visitors in the 84th minute at King Power stadium, after Anna Patten had cancelled out Alisha Lehmann's opener for the home side.

Passmoor added: "You’re seeing the psychology now, because we’re at the end of the season and we need to pick up points. We need to be comfortable in that challenge. You can see the effort and togetherness of the squad.

"It’s just about turning that work rate into making the right decision at the right moment."

It's starting to feel like 'now or ever' for Leicester City as they circle the Women's Super League drain.

The Foxes have won just won two of their 17 games this term, and have scored just nine goals.

With both previous victories achieved on home turf, the visit of Brighton, their penultimate home fixture of the campaign, marks a key opportunity to get some crucial points on the board in the battle to avoid the drop.

The Seagulls stopped their own run of wretched form with a hard fought point against Liverpool last weekend, though they are winless since the end of January.

The Addicks have just taken a 39th-minute lead with a close-range finish from Denmark international Amaelie Thestrup, who has previously played for Liverpool and West Ham.

She pounced to put Charlton ahead after the Eagles could not clear from a corner.

    London City Lionesses

London City Lionesses' Jana Fernandez: "Bit disappointed on the result for sure. I think we had the game under control for some minutes and then we let it go everywhere. Something we have to reflect on and think about how to do things better for the next games. It's not long until we are on holiday so let's keep on pushing. We need to improve our finish for the next games.

On her goal: "I just saw Freya with the ball and I was trying to keep up with her pace. She passed perfectly for me to pass it in. Best part of the goal is her pass so all the recognition should go to her.

"I'm really happy to help the team as much as I can. Sometimes it will be with goals or defensive actions. Happy to help the team but also disappointed with the result.

On aiming for a top half finish: "I think we should be proud of being there but atg the same time we are a team that always wants more. We are not happy with seventh, we want to reach more with this club. Let's try to end up in a good place because I feel like this team deserves it."

  20. 'An important point'published at 14:39 BST 29 March

FT: West Ham 1-1 London City

    West Ham United

West Ham manager Rita Guarino: "The reflection is that we get an important point in this game. We concede an easy goal in transition from our corner, it was very important to come back especially in the second half when we pushed more up."

On managing to score: "The quality of the final pass in the final third was not something good, the quality was much better in the second half and we created more chances and opportunities to score and we found a very good goal."

On the importance of their substitutes: "They had just these minutes to play, so I'm happy in the way they came on the pitch and make the difference with their experience."

On her confidence in her team's mentality: "It's very important. The mentality is not just what you can see during the game, it is also what you do during the week to prpare for the game and how you train. The mentality is growing and we are in a good way."

On getting a point: "It is very important. Every game is important, every point is important. We need to be focused on that and thinking about the next game."
