    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

The Serbian floats it into the middle but it's met by a Leicester head on it's way behind.

Fran Kirby then heads over to take the corner, curling it into the near post, but defender Moeka Minami's powerful header flies well wide.

Would have been better off glancing that really.

  2. Charlton still with hopes of securing promotion todaypublished at 15:44 BST 29 March

WSL 2: Crystal Palace 3-2 Charlton (80 mins)

WSL 2 leaders Charlton Athletic have just conceded a third goal against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park with Republic of Ireland striker Abbie Larkin scoring with a looping header from Ashleigh Weerden's cross.

But the Addicks, needing a win to secure promotion to the WSL, then instantly pulled one back with a penalty from Emma Bissell to set up a frantic last 10 minutes.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Jelena Cankovic stands over a Brighton free-kick by the far touchline.

Would be a great time to break the deadlock as we approach the interval.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

The TV cameras just panned to Brighton boss Dario Vidosic shouting instructions to his players before waving his arms in frustration and vehemently shaking his head.

That about sums this game up.

Brighton will be the happier of the two sides at half-time. They will be pleased they've had the lion's share of possession. Leicester look out of ideas when they go forward - I'd expect changes from them in the second half.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

The Leicester front line have been feeding off scraps.

Annd just as I type that another speculative long ball forward is mopped up by Brighton midfielder Jelena Cankovic before any of them can latch onto it.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Rosa Kafaji takes aim from distance but it's a tame effort that proves an easy gather for Janina Leitzig in the Leicester net.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Leicester ran out 3-2 winners in this fixture last season. That game was a true thriller, end to end action, plenty of goals, a penalty, the lot.

This season's edition has offered significantly less entertainment so far.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Fran Kirby receives the ball on the edge of the box before shifting it quickly to her left as she spots Madison Haley's run.

Haley hits a first time shot but the sting is taken out of it by a great last-ditch tackle from Sarah Mayling.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 29 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Referee Will Davies gets his yellow card out for the first time.

He waves it in the direction of Brighton captain Maisie Symonds for a cynical chop on Shannon O'Brien as she threatened to lead a Leicester counter.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Alisha Lehmann gets in behind her full-back for the first time and drives into the Brighton box before picking out Shannon O'Brien in the middle.

O'Brien should really take it first time but dallies a little, eventually firing it at the near side-netting.

25 minutes in and still just one shot on target between the sides.

  13. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Leicester captain Sam Tierney is dragged to the floor just short of the halfway line, which grants the home side with a maiden opportunity to send it forward.

It's duly pumped in the direction of the box by Tierney but Madison Haley heads it away for Brighton.

  14. Palace take lead against promotion-chasing Charltonpublished at 15:22 BST 29 March

WSL 2: Crystal Palace 2-1 Charlton (55 mins)

Charlton's promotion party may have to wait for another day as they have just gone behind in their WSL 2 match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

A win for the Addicks would take them into the WSL for the first time, but they have just gone 2-1 behind with 35 minutes to go after Scotland international striker Kirsty Howat headed in from close range to put the Eagles ahead.

67 seconds later and we're back under way.

Leitzig seems to have shaken off whatever was bothering her for now.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

As soon as that free-kick drifted out of play Leicester keeper Janina Leitzig sat down and waved on the medics.

She's holding her ankle but I can't recall anything untoward happening in regards to an injury. Nevertheless we'll have a brief pause as she gets some treatment.

Skipper Maisie Symonds steps up to take it for the Seagulls but it's a poor effort.

Beats the wall but drifts harmlessly wide.

Nice work from Madison Haley, who drops inside off the left wing and drives into a pocket of space in front of the Leicester defence before earning a free-kick in a decent position around 30 yards out.

It's not exactly been a thrilling opening 17 minutes has it?

It's been Brighton attack (purple dots) vs Leicester defence (black dots), with neither prevailing so far.

Chiamaka Nnadozie comes off her line to claim a loose ball and is far too casual in returning to her area.

Leicester forward Shannon O'Brien attempts to nick in and steal the ball but Nnadozie falls on top of it just in time.

Almost a calamity out of nowhere for the visitors.
