Time is starting to tick away now for Chesterfield.

When you're not at full tilt and things aren't going well for you a little lapse of concentration can really cost you.

Chesterfield just have to make sure they keep things tight at the back. They're far from out of this tie.

The next goal in this tie, whether it's tonight or at Meadow Lane, will be really important.

County win a corner on the right and Maz Kouhyar takes plenty of time as he jogs over lightly to take it.

He clips it to the back post but the ref has spotted a foul on a Chesterfield defender and that's the end of that set piece.

County's Nick Tsaroulla is clattered into by Kyle McFadzean as he tries to race into the Chesterfield half and wins his side a free-kick. More time being eaten away for the visitors.

Notts County want a penalty of their own now as Tom Iorpenda goes down in the area but Will Finnie waves play on.

The home support are getting a little frustrated as another Chesterfield move breaks down and runs out for a goal-kick.

And now a change for Notts County. Alassana Jatta is replaced by Lee Ndlovu.

The final couple of changes for Chesterfield.

Plenty of experience coming on for the Spireites as Will Grigg and Tom Naylor replace Liam Mandeville and Lee Bonis, who will have nightmares about that early penalty miss if his side cannot find an equaliser.

The best bet for me is to overload the wide areas, especially when you have Tom Pearce on the pitch.

Try and get it wide and get the balls into the box.

Notts County get a sight of the Chesterfield goal as Tom Iorpenda gets in behind on the right wing, but his cross is well intercepted by diving goalkeeper Ryan Boot.

Chesterfield have had six shots in this second half to County's one.

The purists among you will say this is a job well done away from home if the visitors can see out a narrow win here.

Hard to argue if they do hold on.

Another decent opportunity for Chesterfield but they can't find the finish.

Dilan Markanday's initial cross from the right is cleared but the hosts work it to Sammy Braybrooke on the edge of the area, though he can only blaze over the top with an attempted placed finish.

It's pretty much all Chesterfield at the moment.

Notts County seem content to sit in and try and see out a 1-0 win. It would be a great result for the Magpies if they can do so.

Long 20 minutes plus stoppages to defend like this though.

Big final 20 minutes in the first leg of this tie.

Can Chesterfield find a leveller? They've had 90% possession in the past 10 minutes.

The past five or 10 minutes Chesterfield have had a number of chances, they've got the momentum behind them.

Chesterfield's tails are up, Notts will need to get a bit of a platform in the game and take the sting out of it, hopefully the substitutions will do that.

A double change for Notts County. Goalscorer Jayden Luker and Jodi Jones are withdrawn. On come Conor Grant and Maz Kouhyar.

Notts County keeper James Belshaw is down getting some treatment now.

A good chance for the visitors to take the sting out of this a bit. Chesterfield have been building up a head of steam.

County's Nick Tsaroulla is living dangerously. He hauls Will Dickson to the ground from behind and is very lucky to avoid a second yellow just moments after picking up the first booking.

Tom Pearce has a crack with his left foot from the free-kick for Chesterfield and it's flying towards the far corner but James Belshaw is across really well to parry away at full stretch to his left.

So, so much better from Chesterfield as Dilan Markanday dances towards the edge of the area, eating up about 30 yards.

Nick Tsaroulla then brings him down right on the edge of the area and is shown yellow for the foul. Great chance from this free-kick. It's quite literally 18 yards out.
