But Jack Wilshere's side grew into the game, had a couple of good chances to equalise towards the end of this first half, including Jacob Brown who saw his close range effort inadvertently cleared off the line by his own player Jerry Yates.

Walsall have bought into the way that Bromley want to play so far.

When they have put the ball on the deck they have looked like a good team, and they have been able to create a few chances.

However the game has suited the visitors so far.

Bromley are on track for a fifth straight win and might even get the extra reward of being at the very top of the table.

Ben Krauhaus' fierce strike sees Bromley in front but they can't rest easily at the break.

Walsall's Jid Okeke had to be denied off the line to prevent a leveller and the Saddlers will not want to relinquish their place at the apex easily.

Still so much to play for in this captivating contest.

Cardiff are good value for their lead at the halfway stage.

Will Fish's header from a corner is the difference and the Bluebirds are heading to the top of League One as things stand.

Well that Newport lead didn't last long.
