  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:56 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

Preston skipper Ben Whiteman is caught dwelling on the ball and has it pinched off him by Tommy Conway.

Whiteman pulls back the Boro man and out comes the game's first yellow card.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 12:56 GMT 24 January

    Millwall 1-0 Charlton

The Millwall fans want a penalty as the lively Femi Azeez flicks the ball up against the arm of Macauley Gillesphey but there's no dice, before Karoy Anderson becomes the first man in the book for a (very) high boot.

  3. Postpublished at 12:54 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

Preston build well from the back and get to the byline but goalscorer Alan Browne keeps pace with Jamal Lewis who misses his kick at the crucial moment.

Play switches to the other end and it should be 2-0.

Luke Ayling finds Browne inside the area, he cuts inside but somehow shoots wide.

  5. Postpublished at 12:51 GMT 24 January

    Millwall 1-0 Charlton

End to end stuff! Femi Azeez moves the ball on to his right foot this time as Millwall counter well but his stinging shot is punched away by Thomas Kaminski.

This is not going to end 1-0...

  6. Postpublished at 12:49 GMT 24 January

    Millwall 1-0 Charlton

Millwall are up to fourth in the as-it-stands table after that early goal. But Charlton have responded well, with a low corner causing chaos in the penalty area the latest half chance for the visitors.

  7. Postpublished at 12:49 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

Matt Targett has had an eventful start.

He may have got away with a handball inside his own 18-yard area before providing the assist for Alan Browne's goal.

Now he needs some treatment after taking a heavy blow.

He is hobbling but is back on.

  8. Postpublished at 12:46 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

That goal seems to have really settled Middlesbrough now.

They are starting to pop the ball around very nicely.

This is a test for Preston to not lose heart after going behind to a goal against the run of play.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:44 GMT 24 January

    Millwall 1-0 Charlton

Good stop! And a very good start to the game. Charlton winger Tyreece Campbell gets into the area and flashes in a low shot which Max Crocombe saves well with his feet.

  10. 'Nightmare start for Charlton'published at 12:42 GMT 24 January

It's the perfect start for Millwall but a mess at the back from Charlton.

Femi Azeez's whipped ball in was flicked on towards Josh Coburn the far post by Macaulay Langstaff.

Thomas Kaminski makes a hash of it in the Addicks goal as he tries to collect it and hits it straight into Kayne Ramsay, with it rebounding into the net behind him.

    Nightmare start for the visitors.

  11. CLOSE!published at 12:41 GMT 24 January

    Millwall 1-0 Charlton

Charlton had started smartly but it's all Millwall now. Josh Coburn is an actual nuisance and heads over from another good cross from the Lions right.

  12. 'The touch from Browne is absolutely perfect'published at 12:41 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

Alan Browne is a man on a scoring streak.

The touch from Browne is absolutely perfect.

  13. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-0 Prestonpublished at 12:39 GMT 24 January

    Alan Browne (9 mins)

    Against his former side.

After that early promise, Preston are undone by a wonderful ball from Matt Targett.

He picks out former Preston skipper Alan Browne who slots home his second goal in two games.

  14. Preston 'packing out their midfield'published at 12:38 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Preston

    Mark Drury
    BBC Tees commentator

I tell you what they are packing out their midfield.

Paul Heckingbottom's side has four changes since their last match with Hull.

  15. Postpublished at 12:38 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Preston

Now Middlesbrough earn their first corner of the game.

    It is a fast-paced start.

Boro take the corner short and end up failing to produce a cross.

Central defenders currently wondering why they bothered going forward for that one.

  16. goal

GOAL: Millwall 1-0 Charltonpublished at 7 mins

    Kayne Ramsay (OG 7 mins)

What a start for the home side! I think this might be an own goal...

It's fine wing play from Femi Azeez to bend in a testing cross which Macauley Langstaff nods on. Goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski pushes it clear but under pressure from Josh Coburn, Kayne Ramsay can only nudge it over his own line...

  17. Postpublished at 12:36 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Preston

Preston may have lost their past two in the league, but they were both at home.

It is just one defeat from eight road trips.

Paul Heckingbottom's side have served warning they are not about to sit back here by forcing three early corners.

  18. Postpublished at 12:33 GMT 24 January

    Millwall 0-0 Charlton

Hollywood legends Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman are in the stands for this one and it's a crackling atmosphere as you would expect.

Sonny Carey has a driving run forwards for Charlton but he's stopped by a crunching tackle which is hailed by the home fans...

  19. Postpublished at 12:33 GMT 24 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Preston

An early burst down the right for Preston's Lewis Dobbin earns the visitors a corner.

The first set piece deflects behind for a second in quick succession from which Jordan Storey nods towards goal and there are appeals Matt Targett handled the ball as he clears.

Referee Andy Madley waves away the appeals.

A promising start from the visitors.
