Just for a second it looked like Pote was going to dribble his way through, but Saliba was there with a timely challenge.

Sporting have won away at Athletic Club and beaten holders Paris St-Germain in Portugal this season.

And after weathering Arsenal's fast start, they're settling into this.

They look well organised at the back too and another attempt - this time by Declan Rice - is blocked by a green and white shirt.

I knew Bayern were good, but that’s impressive. A sixth minute comeback. Real Madrid are in trouble.

Andriy Lunin's had a disaster, he just falls back into the goal. He's in the back of the net before the ball gets anywhere near him. His defenders are looking at him.

Vinicius Jr gets a telling off from the referee for catching Josh Kimmich and then giving him a shove while he's already on the ground.

Bit strange. All of the Real players need to keep their cool, here.

Last week Andriy Lunin was under pressure at every single corner. The first one tonight under his nose goes missing.

What on earth is the goalkeeper doing? I'll never know.

That head-to-head between Noni Madueke and Maxi Araujo. I am looking forward to that as Araujo was excellent in the first leg, and he caused Arsenal problems with his running power.

Arsenal have been brilliant in these opening stages at winning the ball back and Sporting have not managed to get any foothold in the game.

Already some lovely touches by Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze.

Arsenal had 81% possession in the opening eight minutes.

    Aleksandar Pavlovic (6 mins)

    Well, strap in folks.

What a response to going behind early. Bayern Munich win a corner and it's a brilliant delivery from Joshua Kimmich.

It's a crowded penalty box and the pace of the ball leaves Andriy Lunin stranded, unable to do anything. Aleksandar Pavlovic gets a glancing header on it practically on the line.

What a start to this match.

Well if there's one thing Bayern Munich won't have wanted to do it's allow Real Madrid to get back into this game so early.

But they have done just that. All square in the tie and for all of Bayern's chances last week they're going to have to produce something to progress now.

What is Neuer thinking there? It's still some finish from Guler though.

The best goalkeeper in the world has come up with the most horrendous mistake in the first minute, but what a finish by the young Turk.

It's a simple pass back, what is he thinking? I've no idea what Neuer was looking at.

    Arda Guler (1 min)

    Oh my oh my!

Manuel Neuer gives the ball away on the edge of his own penalty area and Arda Guler reads the situation well.

He runs onto the ball and curls it into the corner from 25-yards.

Goodness me what an error from the keeper but what a finish from Guler.
