    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

Dangerous cross into the Argyle box from Jaheim Headley on the left, the ball skidding off the soggy surface towards Devante Cole, but Conor Hazard races off his line to claim it cleanly and take the pressure off his defenders facing their own goal.

Quality in short supply here, perhaps unsurprisingly given the unhelpful conditions and two teams low on confidence at the foot of the table.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:53 GMT 22 November 2025

    Harrogate 0-0 Walsall

The first card of the game for Harrogate's Bryn Morris, his fourth booking of the season for treading on the toes of an advancing Vincent Harper.

Evan Weir's free-kick doesn't quite work out but you feel a Walsall goal in this game is most likely to come from one of his set-pieces or potentially a throw from Harrogate.

  3. Postpublished at 12:53 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-1 Barnet

And just like that, Barnet are level on points with Gillingham in seventh and only trailing by one goal on goal difference.

A great return to League Two for the Bees so far after they won the National League title last season.

The Gills are yet to have a shot in the opening 20 minutes.

  4. goal

GOAL: Gillingham 0-1 Barnetpublished at 12:49 GMT 22 November 2025

    Callum Stead (18 mins)

    What a finish this is!

One long ball over the top from Barnet keeper Cieran Slicker is allowed to run all the way through for Idris Kanu on the right.

He lofts it into the area and Callum Stead shows excellent composure to place it first time into the bottom corner with his left boot.

A third league goal of the season for Stead and five in all competitions.

  5. 'You can sense the tension'published at 12:49 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port vale 0-0 Plymouth

    David Norris
Former Plymouth Argyle midfielder on BBC Radio Devon

This game has got a nervy feel, you can sense the tension from both sets of fans.

Argyle have been pressing but it's fairly even so far.

  6. Postpublished at 12:49 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-0 Barnet

Idris Kanu breaks forward at pace for Barnet and slides it across to the left for the run of Lindokuhle Ndlovu in the box but he can't bring it under control and a promising opening goes to waste.

And now Barnet win a free-kick about 30 yards out on the left.

  7. Postpublished at 12:48 GMT 22 November 2025

    Harrogate 0-0 Walsall

Without making any real efforts on goal, Harrogate are starting to grow slightly more into the game.

In the last few minutes they've had the ball a bit more and have begun breaking into the final third including forcing a throw-in next to the 18-yard-box which was too easily headed away by Aden Flint.

It is at least slightly less one-way traffic though.

  8. CLOSE!published at 12:48 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

Vale's Connor Hall comes as close as we have seen so far as he rises highest at the back post to meet a fine curling cross from the right from Kyle John, only to nod inches past Conor Hazard's right hand post.

  9. Postpublished at 12:47 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

Ruari Paton is penalised for a foul on the flying Matty Sorinola down the Argyle right but the deep free-kick is headed back into the mixer by Mathias Ross, only for Vale keeper Joe Gauci to claim the high ball under pressure.

Lorent Tolaj is reacquainting himself with his old teammates, in rather physical fashion, at every set-piece and has just given Ben Heneghan a little nudge into a muddy puddle on the dead ball line... he's revelling in this pantomime villain role today - it is the season, after all.

  10. Postpublished at 12:47 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-0 Barnet

It's another good chance for Gillingham to put a bit of pressure on their promotion rivals today.

A win would lift them into the top three before the games this afternoon.

Similarly for Barnet, they could move level on points with Gillingham in sixth with victory.

A cagey affair so far though.

  11. Postpublished at 12:44 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

We're back under way as Ben Heneghan glances a header well wide for the hosts from a deep free-kick into the box from the left.

Kyle John is back in the action but does not look remotely happy. One to keep an eye on.

  12. Postpublished at 12:43 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-0 Barnet

A first real effort of note at Priestfield and it's come in the 10th minute for Barnet. It drops to Adam Senior about 25 yards out... He cuts inside to have a pop but skies the left-footed effort high and wide of the mark.

  13. 'He looks like he's in a lot of pain'published at 12:42 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port vale 0-0 Plymouth

    Phil Sproson
Former Port Vale captain on BBC Radio Stoke

He won the tackle but it was a really crunching tackle.

He's bashing his fist in anger on the turf - it looks as if the impact went through his pad.

He looks like he's in a lot of pain.

  14. Postpublished at 12:42 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

Break in play at Vale Park as Kyle John is down in need of treatment after thundering into a 50-50 challenge on Bali Mumba in midfield.

Ref Abigail Byrne saw nothing wrong at the time and John bounced up to carry on but he looks in some pain after sinking to his haunches on the edge of the field a few moments later.

    Frustration all-round.

  15. Postpublished at 12:40 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-0 Barnet

Cieran Slicker comes rushing out of his goal for Barnet to challenge Gills forward Seb Palmer-Houlden as he looked to race through.

A strong tackle. Let them know you're there and all that.

  16. Postpublished at 12:39 GMT 22 November 2025

    Harrogate 0-0 Walsall

Walsall have had the brighter start so far at the Exercise Stadium.

They're getting a bit of luck on their right wing with a couple of crosses in to Harrogate's box but the visitors are yet to take a chance.

Evan Weir's set-pieces have already looked like a potential threat in this opening stage.

  17. Postpublished at 12:38 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

Lorent Tolaj's goals fired Vale to promotion last season but he's wearing green today after a switch to Argyle in the summer and he's getting a bit of flack from the fans who used to sing his name.

He has eight goals for Argyle already, six of them in League One, seeing him joint top of the standings at present with seven, the first of which came for Vale before his transfer went through.

  18. Postpublished at 12:37 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-0 Barnet

For the footballing history fanatics among you… It’s almost 13 years since these two sides last met on Boxing Day in 2012. It was on this very ground and Barnet came away with a 1-0 win in League Two. Gillingham won 3-1 in the earlier fixture in September 2012.

  19. Postpublished at 12:36 GMT 22 November 2025

    Gillingham 0-0 Barnet

Barnet are the side looking to make early inroads here. The Bees are dominating the ball and pressing Gillingham back.

The visitors are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions coming into this one today.

  20. Postpublished at 12:35 GMT 22 November 2025

    Port Vale 0-0 Plymouth

Both sides are certainly trying to be positive early on.

Ruari Paton had a crack inside 60 seconds for the hosts while Bali Mumba has seen a 25-yard blast cannon off a defender and behind for an Argyle corner three minutes later.

He can't connect in the box from the subsequent set-piece, however, and Vale clear their lines.
