    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

    Mark Drury
    BBC Tees commentator

A big part of Finn Azaz moving to Southampton was that he felt that the Boro fans never took to him.

Well they certainly are not fond of him this afternoon.

He can be brilliant, but is too often hit and miss.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

Some brief respite for Southampton as Finn Azaz intercepts a loose Boro pass by Aidan Morris and has a pop against his former club.

It's wide of the mark though, much to the delight of the home support.

  3. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 0-1 Charltonpublished at 15:29 GMT 4 January

    Charlie Kelman (28 mins)

A poor start for Blackburn. A more positive one for Charlton!

Tyreece Campbell sends the ball into the path of Charlie Kelman who makes no mistake to give the visitors the lead.

That's not gone down well at Ewood Park. Both sides will be looking behind them at the drop zone now we're into the second half of the season.

  4. Postpublished at 15:29 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

It's a bit of a perfect storm at the Riverside today.

Middlesbrough are the fourth strongest team at home in the Championship so far this season, while Southampton have failed to win any of their past four away games (D1 L3). That pattern has continued so far with Boro dominating.

Sam Silvera gets to the byeline and Morgan Whittaker is waiting for the pullback but Silvera goes for a low drive across the face of goal and Gavin Bazunu is able to claim in the Saints goal.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:28 GMT 4 January

    Norwich 0-0 Stoke

A first caution of the afternoon goes to Stoke's Bosun Lawal.

Referee Farai Hallam dishes out a card as Lawal brings down Matej Jurasek.

  6. goal

GOAL: Derby 0-1 Wrexhampublished at 15:27 GMT 4 January

    Sam Smith (25 mins)

A fourth goal of the season and second in as many games for Sam Smith!

Wrexham lead Derby courtesy of some neat build-up play which sees Nathan Broadhead whip a cross into the box which finds Smith who drags his shot into the bottom corner.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:23 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

It's all Boro at the moment and now the home side want a penalty.

Sam Silvera runs into Joshua Quarshie and goes down but the ref waves play on.

Saints are on the ropes, though.

  8. Postpublished at 15:22 GMT 4 January

    Derby 0-0 Wrexham

    Two chances for Derby.

Firstly, Rhian Brewster's right-footed drive is well blocked by the visitors while Bobby Clark's follow-up effort misses the target.

    Still goalless here.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:21 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

Middlesbrough win a free-kick in a promising position right on the edge of the Southampton penalty area.

Hayden Hackney plays a give-and-go with Aidan Morris before curling narrowly wide of the far post.

  10. Postpublished at 15:21 GMT 4 January

    Norwich 0-0 Stoke

Lamine Cisse gets on the end of a long throw for Stoke but his shot is gratefully claimed by Norwich goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic.

Stoke have not won at Carrrow Road since 2018 but have made a promising start to this one.

  11. Postpublished at 15:20 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

Finn Azaz is just patrolling, they are just trying to figure out how to pick him out.

  12. Postpublished at 15:19 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

Middlesbrough have certainly looked the more likely in the opening 20 minutes with Southampton camped in their own final third for much of it.

The hosts win a couple of corners in quick succession but can't make anything of them.

  13. Postpublished at 15:19 GMT 4 January

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

At the moment it is Lawrence Vigouroux against Millwall.

The visiting goalkeeper brilliantly denies Mihailo Ivanovic and then Macaulay Langstaff from the follow up.

The home side just cannot get past the Chilean.

    Hull City P-P Watford

Wow a seven-hour round trip for Watford supporters! Not good.

    Steve - Watford

Absolutely appalling RE: Hull/Watford. Talks about player safety but clearly no regard for the Watford fans travelling 250 miles

    Scott - Bristol

  15. Postpublished at 15:17 GMT 4 January

    Blackburn 0-0 Charlton

Still goalless at a freezing cold Ewood Park but Charlton have pressed for an opener.

Luke Berry unleashes an effort from long range on the right flank, but his shot fails to test Blackburn keeper Aynsley Pears.

  16. Postpublished at 15:15 GMT 4 January

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Tristan Crama heads over the bar for Millwall.

Swansea goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux needs some treatment - probably timely given the start Millwall have made.

Surprise, surprise, he is fine to continue.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:15 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

The Championship's top goalscorer goes close for Southampton!

Ryan Manning puts in a cross and it deflects off Luke Ayling, sitting up kindly for Adam Armstrong.

He hits it with his left on the volley but it goes just wide of the top corner.

Norwich's groundstaff were working hard on the Carrow Road pitch until after two o'clock to ensure this one went ahead.

Divin Mubama has seen an effort deflected over for Stoke.

  19. Postpublished at 15:11 GMT 4 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton

The game resumes after the early injury to Middlesbrough's Alex Bangura.

Boro are able to get on the front foot with a bit of pressure around the Saints area, but the visitors are able to deal with a couple of dangerous balls into the box.

  20. Postpublished at 15:10 GMT 4 January

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Millwall are really knocking on the door.

A succession of corners ends with Caleb Taylor sending a header over the bar.

Earth to Swansea - we've started lads.
