You could set up a campsite in that City midfield.

That was his second goal for the Gunners since joining for £48.5m in the summer from Chelsea.

    Both have come in Europe.

    Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Newcastle

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Newcastle are getting up to Leverkusen box okay, but don't look like they have the guile to break them down from there... then, when Leverkusen win the ball back, they have so much space to counter-attack into.

Manchester City have struggled to create chances so far.

Real Madrid have found a way. For all the questions, injuries and speculation around Xabi Alonso, you just can't write them off when it comes to this tournament.

    Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Newcastle

    Real Madrid 1-0 Man City

    Leon Osman

    Real Madrid 1-0 Man City

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former Real Madrid defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Bernabeu

An exceptional finish by Rodrygo. The ball from Jude Bellingham, the weight, the timing, right into his stride.

Bellingham passes it right-footed straight into Rodrygo, who is on the run.

The pass had to be perfect.

  15. Should Donnarumma do better?published at 20:30 GMT 10 December 2025

    Real Madrid 1-0 Man City

    Shamoon Hafez
Football news reporter at the Bernabeu

Lift off for Real, the Bernabeu erupts.

I think Gianluigi Donnarumma will be disappointed - he seemed a bit slow to get down to that one.

    Should he have done better?

  16. Postpublished at 20:30 GMT 10 December 2025

    Newcastle need to wake up.

  18. Madueke's quality goalpublished at 20:28 GMT 10 December 2025

    Club Brugge 0-1 Arsenal

    Alex Howell
BBC Sport Arsenal reporter at Jan Breydel Stadium

That's such a good goal from Madueke.

The game had been drifting a bit but he shrugged off his man and smashed a shot that hit the bar before going in. Goals always look better when that happens too.

A great piece of quality to lift the match.

Madueke with a BOMB to liven this game up!

    Martin

If Madueke keeps up this form he has to start in the World Cup. I know Saka has basically claimed that RW position as his own, but Tuchel HAS to pick based on form (something previous England managers haven't done). Noni is turning into some player, almost unstoppable.

  20. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 1-0 Man Citypublished at 20:28 GMT 10 December 2025

    Rodrygo (28 mins)

Rodrygo has not scored for 32 games but he's looked like Real Madrid's brightest spark this evening and he receives the ball from Jude Bellingham on the edge of the area, takes a brilliant touch and fires into the bottom far corner.

That was straight across Gianluigi Donnarumma and the big Italian might be disappointed with that one.
