    Ross Barkley (42 mins)

    It's all square!

No danger of a video assistant intervention this time.

Ross Barkley rises highest to meet John McGinn's corner kick at the near post and glances his header neatly into the far corner.

    It has been coming.

    Ahhhh.

Burnley fans of course will be wondering 'Why couldn't we have played like this all season?' That's football I suppose.

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

Youri Tielemans is the latest to have a go for Aston Villa.

The Belgium midfielder is afforded too much time from 25 yards but his curling shot is tipped over the bar by Max Weiss.

Villa knocking on the door now.

    Crystal Palace 1-1 Everton

No clean sheet for either England goalkeepers - Dean Henderson or Jordan Pickford - in front of Thomas Tuchel this afternoon.

  12. 'Bakwa is the danger for Forest'published at 14:35 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I know what I'm doing if I play for Forest, I'm giving the ball to Bakwa. Every time he is in a one on one Burn doesn't know what is hitting him. He squares him up and once he gets into the area Burn can't touch him. Bakwa is the danger. In the end it is brilliant defending from Guimaraes.

  13. CLOSE!published at 14:35 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

Burnley continue to cling on as Ross Barkley fails to make a clean connection from five yards out.

Barkley was found beautifully by John McGinn but it looks like he can't adjust his feet quickly enough and the ball rolls agonisingly wide of the post.

  14. Postpublished at 14:34 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

It's really well-worked by Forest. Taiwo Awoniyi lays it off to Dilane Bakwa on the right then carries on his run into the box.

Bakwa's cut back is decent and the effort almost squirms over the line but Newcastle eventually clear.

  17. 'Flemming should have finished that'published at 14:33 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

    Ben Mee
Former Brentford and Burnley defender on Sports Extra

Huge chance for Zian Flemming. Not sure his first touch is the best, he takes a touch and Matty Cash puts him under pressure, you expect him to do better. He goes for a side foot finish. He just tries to bend it into that top corner. You expect someone whose scored that many goals this season to finish that.

We need a goal don't we? At the moment neither goalkeeper is really being worked.

  19. Postpublished at 14:32 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa have failed to win any of their last eight matches when conceding first in the Premier League, since a victory over Chelsea on 27th December 2025.
