Palace don’t have the squad depth to compete on several fronts at once. The start to the season was sensational, and along the way there were some genuinely strong performances against supposedly better sides. I’ve really enjoyed this season.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Everton

Tim Iroegbunam's shot almost rolls out for throw-in after an opening on the edge of box.

He won't want to see that one back. I don't think anyone will, actually.

  4. 'Villa look leggy'published at 14:29 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

    Ben Mee
Former Brentford and Burnley defender on Sports Extra

Villa look leggy. I'm a little bit surprised because there's still a lot for them to play for. 25 minutes gone, get it out of your legs. I've been there before playing on a Thursday and then a game on a Sunday.

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

John McGinn and Matty Cash build nicely down the right before Burnley intercept a loose ball and break with intent.

Loum Tchaouna delivers a low cross to Zian Flemming, who is afforded more time to size up the target after Ezri Konsa slips, but the striker skews his shot well wide.

A huge chance for the hosts to double their lead.

  6. 'Why Guimaraes is one of the best in the league'published at 14:28 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is why Guimaraes is one of the best in the Premier League. His passing is outstanding. If Woltemade was playing more regularly he controls that and finishes. It really is a fantastic pass.

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

A nice-looking delivery into the box from Bruno Guimaraes and Nick Woltemade tries to dink it past Matz Sels. He almost does thanks to a slight spill from the keeper but he recovers well to keep hold of the save.

Newcastle are doing that whole ‘dominate possession but do nowt with it’ thing. No edge to the attack.

  9. 'Similar types of saves'published at 14:26 BST 10 May

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Everton

    Daniel Gabbidon
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Selhurst Park

Similar types of saves, end to end stuff, Lacroix initially does everything right then tries to go across Pickford, then the stretched right boot, makes a really good save, and then Everton back on the other end. Really good football.

  10. Postpublished at 14:26 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

It just hasn't clicked for Aston Villa in the final third just yet.

John McGinn tries to find the run of Ollie Watkins but Burnley, who have the worst defensive record in the Premier League this season, stand firm and clear.

  11. Postpublished at 14:25 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

Matz Sels has gone down and requires treatment and that just gives the Forest players an opportunity to have a chat with Vitor Pereira.

    Just a coincidence, I'm sure.

  12. 'Forest haven't got any creativity'published at 14:24 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

With no Gibbs-White Forest haven't got any creativity. They are good at keeping the ball but they need to find a way of getting it forward.

  13. Postpublished at 14:22 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

A nervy moment for Burnley goalkeeper Ma Weiss on his Premier League debut. The Burnley stopper comes to collect a high cross - completely unchallenged - and misjudges the flight of the ball, so has to tip behind for a corner.

Weiss is let off the hook as he's fouled when the set-piece comes in.

  14. Postpublished at 14:21 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

The ball drops for Sandro Tonali on the edge of the penalty box and he unleashes a shot but he's leaning back and it flies over the bar.

  15. Postpublished at 14:21 BST 10 May

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Everton

It's end to end at Selhurst Park!

After a magnificent save from Jordan Pickford at one end, Everton break at pace and almost double their lead.

The ball eventually falls to Iliman Ndiaye inside the area but he cannot sort his feet out and Crystal Palace hook the ball to safety.

Great to get to the final but I'm a bit sick of Villa losing to poor teams year after year. A loss here will mean we have been bettered by the bottom 3. In anyone's book, that is poor.

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

Aston Villa seem to have settled into the game now. Much better ball retention, albeit they are holding on to possession around the halfway line.

  18. 'Villa look sloppy'published at 14:19 BST 10 May

    Burnley 1-0 Aston Villa

    Ben Mee
Former Brentford and Burnley defender on Sports Extra

You always wonder after a big Thursday night how they're going play on Sunday. Villa look sloppy. They started brightly in the first few minutes, but it's been all Burnley for the past few minutes. They look sharp and quicker to the ball.

  19. Postpublished at 14:18 BST 10 May

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

The corner is sent into a packed penalty area and it's an easy gather for Nick Pope.

This would be peak Aston Villa, destroy Forest and then lose to a dreadful Burnley team when we need the points to help confirm top 5.
