Keira Walsh with a delightful delivery into the box and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd gets at the end of it.

But the Chelsea forward's first touch inside the box is not great and the chance is gone.

Members of the Tottenham staff are behind us in the press box and they thought that effort from Olivia Holdt was going in. It was a brilliant effort and Chelsea really do look rattled.

It's a beautiful strike by Holdt.

Chelsea's midfield were completely bypassed, so they were basically playing a three v two.

    And they look vulnerable.

Olivia Holdt makes a marauding run in the Chelsea half and lets fly from 25 yards out.

It's been a great start for Tottenham. A couple of decent chances and they are winning 50-50 duels. They will know Chelsea are feeling vulnerable at the moment so the first goal could be important.

That would have been a stunner. Nowhere near the correct execution, though.

Hanna Wijk launches a loose ball towards the goal, but it goes a very long way over.

I see Bompastor has just signed a new contract til 2030. I'm sure I'm not the only Chelsea fan who is concerned by this. There is a definite malaise in the camp and the difference from last season is obvious to anyone.

    Scott, Fife

Chelsea fan. League is gone. What concerns me most is that out of a possible 42 points Chelsea have 27 - that is a huge drop off from last season. I just don't think all is well behind the scenes yet Bompastor has just signed a new contract... go figure.

The biggest news is that Madonna - as in FAMOUS American singer and producer - is here to watch from a box at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

She watched her daughters Esther and Stella play for Spurs in an U14s academy game earlier today. They won 5-0.

Imagine taking your kids to a football game on a Sunday and being stood next to Madonna on the sidelines?

Gareth Taylor speaks to mediaImage source, Gett

Liverpool manager Gareth Taylor, speaking to Sky Sports: "We caused Villa problems in the first half. When you get to 2-0 it's always a funny scoreline. After that we became a little bit flat. I hated the second half, I understand the anxiety because we want to hold onto something. I understand why we were probably kicking a little bit longer because when we play we get opportunities. Because we've been brave, we pull them out of position and use the spaces they leave.

"I feel that the most important thing that I have to get across is to play with courage. We didn't really do that last week. When we play, we show our quality. We get opportunities and we took our chances today."

On the importance of the win: "It's big because of confidence. Also for Villa, they are six points away from us. If we had lost the game it would have been more. We claw them back in a little bit. We've just got to do what we need to do. We know the games against those teams are really crucial."

  19. 'Mistakes can be painful'published at 14:17 GMT 8 February

FT: London City Lionesses 0-1 Everton

    London City Lionesses

London City Lionesses boss Eder Maestre said: "This is football. Maybe the other day against Brighton we didn't deserve to win and we won. Today we had many chances to get a better score but it's a game of mistakes.

"We wanted another kind of result and it's disappointing when you are in that kind of position. We had many good moments, we were pushing and have very good chances from set pieces. That pressure bring us chances to start winning the game but we can't reach that situation.

"The learning is that mistakes can be painful and we suffered with the way they punished our mistakes."

Arsenal captain Kim Little speaking to Sky Sports:

"It's been a big week in terms of fixtures. We've put in great performances, all of the players have done really well. We've risen to the occasion and our fans have been a huge part of that. To play to nearly 40,000 again today, it's a special atmosphere and it adds a percentage to our performance. We're thankful to them.

"Ultimately in the league City have put themselves in a good position and our job is to push as much as we can."
