  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:13 GMT 8 February

    Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea finish the half strongly as Alyssa Thompson fires wide after another corner creates problems for the Tottenham defence.

It means Chelsea take a narrow lead into the break but if the first half is anything to go by, this game is far from settled.

  2. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea

    Chelsea almost double the lead.

Lauren James get to the edge of the box after exchanging passes with Sjoeke Nusken but fails to get her shot on target.

We will have one minute added on at the end of the first half

  3. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea have a record of eight wins and three draws when scoring first in the WSL this season.

That will add to Tottenham’s frustration and they will feel hugely aggrieved to not have made their early dominance count.

It's a huge goal for Chelsea and you can see what it means to the players and staff.

Sonia Bompastor is picked up and spun around by a member of her backroom team and Walsh runs back towards her team-mates with her fists clenched.

They have been under so much pressure and really needed that goal!

Tottenham will feel aggrieved by it, it's against the run of play.

They'll feel really disheartened by that.

Chelsea go ahead against the run of play!

They win a corner and Erin Cuthbert's delivery is much better this time and Tottenham fail to deal with it.

It falls to an unmarked Keira Walsh who slots it home past Lize Kop from 15 yards.

Chelsea’s malaise has been coming. This squad was mainly built and coached by Emma Hayes and so many of them are struggling to adapt to Sonia’s slower methodical football. We basically limped over the line performance-wise last season and it continues this season.

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

A rare breather for Chelsea as they win a free-kick in the Spurs half.

But Erin Cuthbert's delivery from the set-piece is way off the mark and sails behind by some distance.

Pretty much sums up their struggles so far!

Chelsea continue to be so open at the back. I've lost count of the number of times Naomi Girma has blocked shots.

Make that 12 attempted shots from Tottenham as Julie Blakstad is afforded another opening in the Chelsea area.

But Blues defender Naomi Girma is present to make another crucial block.

Pick the same team with the same tactics that got a deserved 5-1 thrashing and expect a different outcome? Sorry Bompastor, I think not. Defeat today, forget the title, no Champs League next season.

  13. CLOSE!published at 28 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

Tottenham continue to knock on the doors!

Some brilliant footwork from Julie Blakstad near the byline to make some space for herself and play an inviting cross towards Bethany England in the middle.

The Spurs striker makes good connection but just can't keep her volley down!

  14. 'It's passive from Chelsea'published at 14:54 GMT 8 February

Chelsea are doing things passively, slowly.

There's no sense of building up in the middle then saying 'right, we'll go quickly' when they get to the final third.

    It's all the same pace.

Tottenham are able to read what they're wanting to do and Chlesea are forcing passes into the box.

Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton almost gifts the ball away to Tottenham captain Bethany England after coming off her line to collect a long ball.

Signs of pressure creeping into Chelsea’s game?

The Tottenham crowd are enjoying what they're seeing. Martin Ho is also pretty calm in the dugout.

Sonia Bompastor isn't giving much away, stood on the touchline with her arms folded. But she must be concerned.

  17. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

    Tottenham threaten to score again.

And it's pinball inside the Chelsea box this time with Signe Gaupset denied twice by Chelsea defenders throwing themselves in front of her shots in quick succession.

    Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

Lauren James floats in a cross into the box but it fails to find any of her team-mates and goes harmlessly behind for a goal kick.

Chelsea are still searching for some inspiration but right now, it's hard to see where it's going to come from.

Tottenham are exploiting the spaces that Chelsea are leaving.

They look dangerous - especially in this final third.
