That is never a penalty in a million years. A blatant dive!

    Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Arsenal

    Matt Upson
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at BayArena

It stems from Madueke doing what he's done since coming on the pitch, he drives at players.

Madueke goes down a little bit softly for me but there is contact and there's enough for VAR to say 'we're going to stay out of it'.

Noni Madueke goes down under a challenge from Malik Tillman. This will definitely be looked at by VAR.

The England winger was barely touched but the decision stands.

Huge chance for Arsenal to draw level.

However, Jurrien Timber heads over from close range after Gabriel Martinelli stands up a ball to the back stick.

    Mikel Arteta cannot believe it.

Arsenal thinking they need to walk into the net every time. How about aiming a blast at goal like Eze did the other day?

    Akin, Northampton

Crack on Arsenal. We need a goal.

    Dunstan, London

Seems like Arsenal can only score from set pieces.

  9. 'A draw would be a cracking result for Arsenal'published at 19:27 GMT 11 March

    Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Arsenal

    Matt Upson
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at BayArena

They've got ten minutes to make something happen and take possibly a draw back to the Emirates. At this point, that would be a real result for Arsenal.

It's not been a brilliant away performance and a draw would be a cracking result.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

Jonas Hofmann and Ezequiél Fernandez replace Martin Terrier and Exequiel Palacios for the hosts.

Arsenal bring Gabriel Jesus on for Eberechi Eze, who has struggled to make an impact in this game.

Arsenal have a free-kick in a dangerous area but when Leverkusen clear it is the hosts who suddenly have a good chance to break.

And if Alejandro Grimaldo's pass is better they are in.

    Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Arsenal

Arsenal lose possession cheaply and then have to retreat back at speed as Christian Kofane sets up Aleix Garcia, who blazes a shot miles over from 18 yards.

Mikel Arteta does not look happy in the Arsenal technical area.

  16. Postpublished at 74 mins

Arsenal need to change things fast. Bring on Havertz for Eze and run at them fast. It's too easy for them as it stands and we are going nowhere. It's been like this for weeks now!

Martín Zubimendi picks up a yellow card. And it's harsh. He looks to have won the ball in his tackle with Exequiel Palacios but the referee sees it the other way.
