Chris Conn-Clarke is Carlisle's playmaker and everything is going through him.

They are trying to get him on the ball with every chance they get in Blackpool's final third.

One of the Blackpool midfielders has got to try and look after him and protect the defence.

Both teams have had their chances - I wouldn't say it's been tight - it's been open.

I want Carlisle to use their belief and confidence. Conn-Clarke's effort was very unlucky.

It was really, really soft defending for that goal.

They were second, third and fourth to everything in the area then.

There were at least three blue shirts in the area and they were flat-footed.

    Blackpool v Carlisle (17:30 GMT)

"Some people might say I've found my level," joked Carlisle United manager Mark Hughes ahead of his side facing Blackpool in the FA Cup.

The former Premier League boss is enjoying life in the National League, with the club unbeaten in 11 matches in all competitions.

By contrast, third-tier Blackpool will be looking for a distraction from their poor league form.

Ian Evatt's team have picked up one point from their last three games in League One, also exiting the EFL Trophy by losing to Harrogate Town on Tuesday.

The hosts will be wary of an upset after Carlisle knocked out League One Reading in the last round with a 3-2 away victory after extra time.

Full-time and Walsall are safely into the third round of this season's FA Cup.

Daniel Kanu gave them a half-time lead from the penalty spot after Blackpool loanee Ryan Finnigan was fouled in the box.

Aden Flint effectively killed off the tie four minutes into the second-half when he turned home a good free-kick from the left by Evan Weir.

A professional performance from Mat Sadler's men.
