Macclesfield just need to assert their dominance now.

They need to put some of these chances away.

Unfortunately for the hosts, danger man Tyrese Dyce is unable to continue following an injury, and is withdrawn by Peter Ojemen in the home side's second change.

Slough make a substitution to try to stop the tide going against them and Tarik Gidaree is replaced by Jared Myers.

Lewis Fensome, who thought he had put Macclesfield in front before Adam Desbois' terrific save, has a go from distance this time but the Slough keeper is equal to his attempt once more.

The second half has been miles better than the first already.

The TV cameras have just shown another replay of that save from Adam Desbois, and it is even better on second viewing.

A clipped ball to the back post finds D'Mani Mellor who climbs incredibly and heads towards Max Woltman, two yards out, but somehow Woltman volleys over the bar with his left foot.

From the corner, the ball finds Lewis Fensome, coming in around the back.

Fensome directs a powerful header towards the corner but, somehow, Slough keeper Adam Desbois keeps the ball out and turns it around for a corner - a simply stunning save!

The closest we've come to a goal by a million miles.

Good effort from D'Mani Mellor who cuts inside on his right foot and hits a strike which is headed behind for a corner to Macclesfield.

There wasn't much in it in the first half.

I thought Macclesfield knocked the ball around a bit better than Slough but didn't really trouble them.

I expected a few more goalmouth incidences - I thought there would be goals.

I suppose Slough at one stage were edging it but Macclesfield came into it.

It does get the feeling watching that whoever scores first will win it.

Daniel Elliott takes it and it is spilt by Slough keeper Adam Desbois but Desbois reacts quickly to smother the ball and that is half-time!

It's been a half low on chances but high in endeavour with both teams effectively cancelling each other out.

With Macclesfield winning in the last round 6-3, you could have been forgiven for expecting a little more goalmouth action than there has been at Arbour Park so far this afternoon.

Let's hope for a little more in the second period - stick with us for that.
