Warm applause for Macclesfield's Brandon Lee who is sadly stretchered off the pitch following that injury.

As the visitors have already made their allocated substitutes, they are also down to 10 men for the rest of this one.

Boreham Wood look great in possession in tight spaces.

The ball is dinked to the far post for Zak Brunt, who keeps it alive and forces Newport keeper Nik Tzanev to push it away.

Both teams look like they could score at any moment.

    Mark O'Brien
Former Newport County defender on BBC Radio Wales

That's exactly what you want to see for Newport. Ball to feet and getting it in the 18-yard box.

You don't want to be missing too many opportunities like that, you need to be putting these chances to bed.

  11. CLOSE!published at 14:55 GMT 7 December 2025

    Boreham Wood 0-0 Newport County

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds and England keeper on BBC Two

Abdul Abdulmalik was left up front on his own by Boreham Wood as Newport were taking a corner. But Newport only left one player back.

If Boreham Wood had cleared the ball then it would have been an interesting race with Abdulmalik's pace. He's a clever player, he has the trickery to get past players.

This match is really springing to life.

Boreham Wood's Abdul Abdulmalik miscues a strike horribly after a dangerous low ball into the area.
