The English Football League's bottom side, Newport County, are in need of a morale-boosting result as they continue their search for a first win under new boss Christian Fuchs in just his third game as a manager.

Fuchs, now 39, lifted the FA Cup in 2021 during his time at Leicester City, five years after the club's famous Premier League triumph.

But play-off chasing National League team Boreham Wood will fancy their chances at home.

The hosts are no strangers to an FA Cup run, having reached the fifth round under manager Luke Garrard three years ago, when Premier League side Everton had to dig deep to overcome them.

Equally, Newport fans will be hoping to reignite the sort of spark that led to them going toe-to-toe with Manchester United in the fourth round last January.

You can watch the tie now on BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and at the top of this page.
