GOAL: Derby 0-1 Leicesterpublished at 12:38 GMT 6 December 2025

    Bobby De Cordova-Reid (8 mins)

    Clinical.

What a slick move this is, and what a cool finish at the end of it.

Abdul Fatawu is played into space on the right flank, drives ahead and then works it inside for Jordan James who spins on the edge of the box and pokes through for Bobby De Cordova-Reid to produce a fine low finish past the diving Jacob Widell Zetterstrom and inside the far post to send the 3,000 travelling fans wild.

    Real class.

    Charlton 0-0 Portsmouth

First chance of the game goes to the visitors as they win a free-kick just inside the Addicks' half.

Conor Chaplin floats a ball in deep to the back post with Marlon Pack rising highest to meet it with a looping header, which goes up and over and lands on top of the net.

  3. Postpublished at 12:36 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-0 Leicester

Slightly nervy start from Jakub Stolarcyk, back in the Foxes goal after missing four games.

He slices his first clearance clean out of play on the halfway line to jeers from the home faithful.

Lively start as you might expect of two sides separated by 30 miles in their first meeting of the decade.

  4. Postpublished at 12:35 GMT 6 December 2025

    Charlton 0-0 Portsmouth

Scarecely believably, this is the first time these two sides have met in the second tier since 2000.

There have been games between them in League One and the Premier League - but never in this iteration of the Championship.

Last time they did 25 years ago ended in a draw.

  5. Postpublished at 12:34 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-0 Leicester

Rams skipper Ebou Adams goes down after a nasty-looking nibble from the lunging Jordan Ayew in the centre circle.

Ref Josh Smith sees nothing excessively untoward and it's just a free-kick, and Adams, gingerly, gets up and will continue.

  6. Chance!published at 12:34 GMT 6 December 2025

    Watford 0-0 Norwich

Just 18 seconds on the clock and Norwich's Emiliano Marcondes fires a shot narrowly over the bar from the edge of the area. It came from a loose clearance from Nathan Baxter.

  7. Long trek for Terrierspublished at 12:33 GMT 6 December 2025

    Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

With this early kick-off, you wonder what time Huddersfield's fans will have had to have left Yorkshire to get to south Wales.

No wonder it's only a relatively small number of Terriers supporters in the away end.

  8. Postpublished at 12:32 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-0 Leicester

Some atmosphere at a packed Pride Park... sounding like an evening game in the Premier League or a big FA Cup tie but it's a lunchtime Championship game.

Bobby Clark has an early crack from 20 yards for the hosts but his effort cannons away off a defender.

    Ok here we go.

Pompey in their changed kit of white shirts, blue socks and white socks today.

As we said pre-game, both teams really in need of a win here.

Marti Cifuentes has made four changes to the Foxes side which lost 3-2 at home to Sheffield United a week ago.

Jakub Stolarcyk returns in goal, with Asmir Begovic dropping to the bench.

Ben Nelson, Oliver Skipp and Jordan Ayew are also handed starts with Wout Faes and Patson Daka dropping to the bench and no Harry Winks.

    Watford XI v Norwich

Two changes for Watford from the side which lost 2-1 at Birmingham with Giorgi Chakvetadze making his first start of the season after two substitute appearances off the bench on his return from injury.

Edo Kayembe is the other man to come in with Tom Ince and Hector Kyprianou making way and both dropping to the bench.

Just the one change for Norwich City from the side which beat QPR 3-1 last time out with Tony Springett coming in for a first start of the season.

Jack Stacey is the one to miss out after suffering a hamstring injury in that much-needed victory last weekend.

John Mousinho makes six changes to the Portsmouth team beaten by Bristol City at Fratton Park last weekend.

Regan Poole, Colby Bishop, Jordan Williams, Adrian Segecic, Andre Dozzell and Josh Knight are replaced by Terry Devlin, Hayden Matthews, Ibane Bowat, John Swift, Yang Min-Hyeok and Conor Chaplin.

Poole, Dozzell and Knight are not in the squad.

Charlton boss Nathan Jones gives a first Championship start to Karoy Anderson, with Onel Hernandez coming in too, in the team's only other change to the side beaten by league leaders Coventry.

Amari'i Bell is another addition to the Addicks' growing injury list so misses out, while Harvey Knibbs drops to the bench.

  17. Much more than Pride at stake in East Mids derbypublished at 12:22 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby v Leicester (12:30 GMT)

    Andrew Aloia
BBC Sport England at Pride Park

It’s been almost 12 years since these two sides met in the league.

So what can we expect from this East Midlands derby – a rivalry that it seems most at Derby County and Leicester City see as the least spicy of the derby games in the area?

To start with, Derby will love being above Leicester at the minute considering all the Rams have been through – administration, relegation to League One, etc – in a 10-year period in which the Foxes have won the Premier League title and lifted the FA Cup.

    But what of Leicester?

Manager Marti Cifuentes is under pressure to keep his job. It certainly hasn’t helped having a defence with less resistance than tissue paper in recent outings.

The Rams will want to come out firing from the get-go, knowing that Leicester gave up three first-half goals in each of their past two defeats.

  18. Foxes keeping their heads before Derby daypublished at 12:20 GMT 6 December 2025

Jordan James celebrates a goal for LeicesterImage source, Shutterstock

Midfielder Jordan James says the thought of Leicester suffering back-to-back relegations to League One defies logic - and insists the players are "only looking up" the Championship table.

Defeats by Southampton and Sheffield United last week - two games in which Leicester conceded three first-half goals - has the Foxes six places and seven points above the relegation zone ahead of the trip to Derby this lunchtime.

"If you think Leicester can be in League One, then you have lost your mind," the 21-year-old Wales international told BBC Radio Leicester.

"The players we have got are Premier League players and it will show. I genuinely believe that. For us, we are only looking up. It can change very quickly."

In the first East Midlands derby in 12 years, the Rams are five places and two points above their rivals thanks to a run of six wins in their past eight games and could close on the play-off spots with their first win in this fixture since March 2013.

  19. Canaries chase back-to-back wins against Hornetspublished at 12:18 GMT 6 December 2025

Norwich City v Watford (12:30 GMT)

    Philippe ClementImage source, Getty Images

The last time Norwich registered back-to-back wins in the league was on 1 February and they will be hoping there is a portent in the fact that the opposition that day were Watford.

The Canaries were lying motionless on the bottom of the cage when former Rangers boss Philippe Clement arrived midway through last month but they have shown signs of life since.

A loss, a draw and finally a win (only their third of the season) against QPR last weekend represents form tracking in the right direction but in Watford they face a stiff test of that progress today.

'Patchy' might best describe the Hornets' form under Javi Gracia, who arrived for a second stint at the club on 8 October. Three wins, three draws and three defeats, including last Monday's 2-1 defeat at Birmingham.

They have shown flashes of real threat going forward and Othmane Maamma is worth watching but just one clean sheet in nine tells its own story of what is stopping them launch a promotion push.

  20. Two sides in desperate need of a winpublished at 12:16 GMT 6 December 2025

    Charlton v Portsmouth (12:30 GMT)

Charlton's strong start to the Championship season following promotion from League One has started to slip in recent weeks.

A November blip is in danger of turning into a late 2025 slump as they look to end a run of four straight defeats.

The Addicks are, though, unbeaten in their past six meetings with Portsmouth.

John Mousinho's side have their own problems, with last month's win against Millwall Pompey's only victory in their past nine games.

Their only away win this season came on the opening weekend at Oxford United.
