    Derby 0-3 Leicester

    Ed Dawes
    BBC Radio Derby commentator

Derby have to go for this now.

They need to be more physical, they need to control the ball far better.

I've not see a first half like that in a while, it was men against boys out there.

  3. Postpublished at 13:39 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-3 Leicester

Jordan James is sent away down the Foxes right and swings in a perfect low cross which somehow evades all five players in the middle, with Jordan Ayew unable to get infront of his man to get the vital touch in the goalmouth.

Pattern of the first half has resumed, then...

    Breaking

    Charlton A-A Portsmouth

The game has been abandoned with the score 0-0.

Play was stopped around the 12th minute when players and supporters alerted the referee to a medical emergency in the Covered Lower End.

Players went down the tunnel shortly after while the supporter received treatment from first responders and then left the stand later on.

"Due to a medical emergency in the crowd, today’s match has been abandoned," a Charlton statement said.

"We thank you for your patience and understanding. Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to the supporter affected and thank our medical team and first responders.

"Information on when the match will be rescheduled will be announced in due course."

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:26 GMT 6 December 2025

    Watford 1-2 Norwich

An entertaining half sees Norwich go in with a 2-1 lead and Watford only have themselves to blame for trailing.

They had done the hard work to claw themselves back into it after going behind early to a Josh Sargent header, Luca Kjerrumgaard heading home to level on 34 minutes.

But a poor defensive set just before the break has seen the Canaries go ahead again through Oscar Schwartau.

  10. Still delayed at The Valleypublished at 13:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    Charlton 0-0 Portsmouth

There's an announcement on the PA system to say it's going to be a while before they can give a further update.

So as it stands, this game is not set to resume for a while.

Only 12 minutes had been played before the lengthy interruption.

  11. 'We've been outstanding'published at 13:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    HT: Derby 0-3 Leicester

    Matt Piper
Former Foxes winger on BBC Radio Leicester

The first five minutes I was dreading the worst, really the majority of the season I could not foresee a performance like this.

I think Derby have been poor, but you can only play what's in front of you and we've been outstanding.

The movement, the finishing has been so good from us, giving the keeper no chance.

The fluidity and pace of the passing has been excellent.

  12. 'Foxes are playing for their manager'published at 13:23 GMT 6 December 2025

    HT: Derby 0-3 Leicester

    Andrew Aloia
BBC Sport England at Pride Park

It has been a mesmerizing first 45 minutes from Leicester City.

When a manager is under pressure, you look for clues in performances to see if the players are really in it from their boss.

Considering Marti Cifuentes is probably teetering one defeat away from the sack, you gotta say that his players have put in a shift to save the Spaniard.

There is still 45 minute to go, of course, but it is a long, long way back for Derby.

  13. 'Controlled Cardiff three points clear at the top'published at 13:21 GMT 6 December 2025

    HT: Cardiff 1-0 Huddersfield

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

A controlled first half from Cardiff has them three points clear at the top of League One at the moment.

Both they and Huddersfield have looked most threatening on the break so far - two attack-minded teams who leave plenty of spaces for their opponents.

Just the one first-half goal in our three fixtures in League One and Two.

League One leaders Cardiff go into the break a goal up against Huddersfield through Yousef Salech's ninth goal of the season and they've had more opportunities to extend the lead.

Plymouth v Bradford is goalless in a game of few clear-cut chances. Victory for the Pilgrims would take them out of the drop zone, while Bradford are up to second as it stands.

In League Two it's also 0-0 between Colchester and Gillingham although the Gills came closest to scoring when Aaron Rowe's effort was cleared off the line.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-3 Leicester

    Leicester celebrateImage source, Getty Images

You'd never guess Derby have won six of eight games and Leicester have lost five of eight and are conceding goals for fun.

This has been the Leicester we were all expecting to see this season.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid's cool finish after a slick break put the Foxes ahead and Olive Skipp volleyed home a second just 15 minutes in, Jordan James poked a third just after the half-hour and Jordan Ayew saw a fourth incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Derby hit the bar through Joe Ward but have a mountain to climb in their first East Midlands derby clash in more than a dozen years.

  16. Postpublished at 13:19 GMT 6 December 2025

    Charlton 0-0 Portsmouth

As the other game clocks tick towards half-time we're still awaiting an update at The Valley, where a fan has been taken ill.

The game was stopped at around the 12th minute and the players were taken off the pitch a few minutes later.

  17. goal

GOAL: Watford 1-2 Norwichpublished at 13:18 GMT 6 December 2025

    Oscar Schwartau (45 mins)

Just seconds before the break and Watford implode at the back.

It is a speculative long ball from the right back position which finds Josh Sargent on the edge of the box. He skips around the featherweight attentions of Kevin Keben and fires a low shot which Nathan Baxter pushes out to the right.

Emiliano Marcondes picks up the loose ball and chips back into the six yard area where Watford's defenders are standing looking at each other.

Oscar Schwartau arrives unmarked and fires into the net for his second goal of the campaign.

That was chaotic from Watford who had been looking in charge after their equaliser. Norwich continue to cause problems at the back for the hosts on the break.

  18. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:16 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-3 Leicester

Into FOUR added minutes at the end of the half. Plenty of time for at least one more goal then...

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:16 GMT 6 December 2025

    Derby 0-3 Leicester

Bobby Clark coughs up possession on the edge of the Leicester area and a long hoof down the right sends Jordan Ayew into green space.

He drives into the box and unleashes a powerful angled effort which Jacob Widell Zetterstrom does well to block with his right boot.

Still the pressure comes and Jordan James almost gets on the end of a low ball in from the left this time, winning a corner.

'We want four' chant the away fans, they might get them at this rate...
