    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

Looks like Arsenal boss Renee Slegers has seen enough as she's preparing a triple change.

Alessia Russo, Olivia Smith and Caitlin Foord are all receiving their final instructions off a tablet from a member of the coaching staff.

Smilla Holmberg gets into a promising position on the right side of the box but she drags her shot well wide of the back stick.

The full-back probably should have picked out a team-mate instead.

Arsenal are sleep-walking their way out of the FA Cup here.

    Gordon

The men's side did the same at Southampton in their quarter-final yesterday, Gordon.

Though there's plenty of time for Renee Slegers and her players to rescue this one.

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

Stina Blackstenius thinks she's got the run on the Brighton defence as she ghosts in behind, but before she can get her shot away the offside flag goes up.

  5. 'Arsenal players still in the changing room'published at 14:09 BST 5 April

Madison Haley, that's a brilliant finish!

She just got the better of Laia Codina, she really bullied her in the 1v1 there, it was a fantastic strike into the opposite corner to beat Daphne van Domselaar.

The Arsenal players are looking around at each other, they look a bit shocked. It seems like they're still in the changing room.

  6. Postpublished at 14:08 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

We needed a goal and the visitors have got it, and it's quite the sucker punch for Arsenal who though they had taken an early lead in this second half.

Game well and truly on now.

    Madison Haley (48 mins)

    That one counts though!

And it was another superb finish, this time from Brighton's central striker Madison Haley, who raced onto a Fran Kirby through ball before smashing the ball through Daphne van Domselaar's arms and into the top left corner.

  8. 'Little and Caldentey were really uncomfortable'published at 14:05 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

    Karen Carney
Former England midfielder on TNT Sports

Brighton were really positive in that opening 45 minutes.

They made Kim Little and Mariona Caldentey really uncomfortable by swarming them in the centre of the pitch.

They were trying that high press, winning it back, getting bodies in front of them, and taking early shots.

  9. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 14:05 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

The ball has finally hit the back of the net...but it's not going to count!

It's Stina Blackstenius who turned it home for Arsenal with a superb outside of the foot flicked finish across goal into the far top corner, but she was adjudged to have fouled Moeka Minami before she stuck it in.

This game is desperately crying out for a bit of Alessia Russo quality in the final third.

    Lola

I agree Lola, she's been on fire recently and having such a confident number nine on the pitch is never a bad thing in these types of games when chances are at a premium.

    Charlton v Liverpool (14:30 BST)

We're just over half an hour away from kick-off in the second quarter-final between second tier Charlton and Liverpool at The Valley.

Let's head over there for a bit of team news..

  16. 'A pretty even first half'published at 13:53 BST 5 April

    HT: Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was a good and pretty even first half of football.

Arsenal started a little bit slow and Brighton were on the front foot, not necessarily creating a lot of chances but creating a lot of momentum in Arsenal's defensive third.

Brighton did really well defensively. They've really frustrated Arsenal by having numbers around the ball. Arsenal want to make their intricate passes but Brighton have enough players around to cut those passes out.

Arsenal have quite a few main starting XI players on the bench, I wonder how long it's going to be until we see some of those players...

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:49 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

That's that for the first half.

It was entertaining for the most part with both sides creating some good openings, but a lack of firepower at either end means that we're still goalless.

  18. Postpublished at 13:49 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

It's been a proper battle out there for Beth Mead.

She's on the deck again after another shove from Manuela Vanegas, and seems to be in some discomfort with her hand after she put her arms out to break her fall.

  19. Postpublished at 13:47 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

Beth Mead's late tackle gives Brighton an opportunity to swing a wide free kick into the box from the far side.

Jelena Cankovic steps up to take it, looping it into the far post area but it's slightly too long for Madison Haley to get on the end of it.

  20. 'Sloppy from Arsenal'published at 13:46 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brighton had a good spell in possession there, but is is sloppy from Arsenal.

You could see Renee Slegers come out to her box, arms up in the air, as if to say: 'Come on, we expect better from ourselves!' because they are just giving the ball straight back to Brighton.
