  1. McCabe in to 'start winning midfield battles'published at 14:38 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

Katie McCabe is actually going to come into the midfield here. Mariona Caldentey has been pushed up into the number 10 role and then Alessia Russo has gone into the number nine position now.

Arsenal will be hoping she starts winning some of those midfield battles because Brighton's midfield have been dominating so far. That should then enable them to push a little higher up the pitch.

  2. Postpublished at 14:37 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

The angst among the Arsenal fans rises as Smilla Holmberg and Olivia Smith don't quite connect with a one-two on the right and the ball rolls behind for a Brighton goal kick.

T-minus 12 minutes until they're out at the quarter-final stage for a second successive season.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:35 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

Another change for Arsenal as full-back Katie McCabe comes on to make her 300th appearance for the club.

Stina Blackstenius comes off, so I guess that means Alessia Russo now moves into her more natural number nine role.

  4. Postpublished at 14:35 BST 5 April

    Charlton 0-0 Liverpool

An early set-piece for Charlton but instead of launching it into the mixer and trying their luck in front of goal, they play the ball short, flick it out wide and then an overhit pass trickles out for a Liverpool goalkick.

  5. Postpublished at 14:33 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

Arsenal are getting more and more frustrated as the trio of introductions are now struggling to make their mark.

Olivia Smith was a little over zealous in the press there and was penalised for catching Carla Camacho.

    Charlton v Liverpool

Just before we get going in today's second quarter-final between Charlton and Liverpool, there's a moments' silence for the 97 people who lost their lives at the Hillsborough disaster 37 years ago.

  8. Postpublished at 14:32 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

Let's take a moment to hail Fran Kirby's influence in this second half so far.

The veteran forward provided the assists for both Brighton goals and she's running the show at the top end of the pitch.

The only thing missing is a goal, which she's just gone very close to getting by hitting a long range lob that landed on the roof of the Arsenal net.

  9. Postpublished at 14:29 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

Caitlin Foord charges into acres of space on the left hand side and goes for a cross just as she passes the threshold of the Brighton area but it's blocked away by Charlie Rule.

Mariona Caldentey fizzes in the corner but again a Brighton head steers clear.

Like the men yesterday, Arsenal did not start their strongest team and have been punished for it.

I'm a firm believer of 'start your best team - get the job done - then make changes' but then again, I'm not a Champions League winning manager...

  11. 'Russo is showing her frustration'published at 14:26 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You can just the frustration coming from the Arsenal fans, however that frustration is spilling on to the pitch as well now.

Alessia Russo never really looks like a frustrated figure, she seems to keep her cool the majority of the time, but even she is showing her frustration.

At 2-0 down, Arsenal have a lot of hard work to do to come back into this game.

  12. Postpublished at 14:26 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

Substitute Caitlin Foord gets her first chance to make an impact but her cross-cum-shot is headed away by Caitlin Hayes.

The clearance falls back to the Aussie winger who nods down for Alessia Russo on the edge of the D, but that's blocked as well as Brighton continue to hold firm.

  13. Postpublished at 14:24 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

There's not much Renee Slegers can do now, she's played all of the aces that she had up her sleeve.

She's just got to hope that trio she introduced five minutes ago turn on their magic.

  14. 'Hayes was in the air for an eternity'published at 14:22 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-2 Brighton

    Gilly Flaherty

What a finish, by the way!

The ball just got whipped in to the back post and it seemed like Caitlin Hayes was in the air for an eternity before she was able to connect with it.

There was no way Daphne van Domselaar was going to be able to stop that one!

    Brighton have a second!

Defender Caitlin Hayes rises highest at the back post to meet Fran Kirby's corner delivery and her header loops up and over Daphne van Domselaar and into the back of the net.

Arsenal are really up against it now.

Just when Brighton must think they’re on top, Russo, Smith and Ford are coming off the bench. What a line up Arsenal have! Come on Seagulls!

  17. Postpublished at 14:19 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

There's significantly more urgency from those in red on the pitch and in the stands.

The fans urge their side forward with their trademark "Arsenal, Arsenal Arsenal" rallying cry but Smilla Holmberg can't match it with her cross as it bounces off a Brighton leg, back off her and behind for a goal kick.

  18. Trio of substitutes 'all in-form'published at 14:18 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

If you're an Arsenal fan, you're most certainly hoping that Alessia Russo, Olivia Smith and Caitlin Foord can provide something different to what's already on the pitch.

They are all in-form as well, so Brighton will be expecting things to get a bit more difficult with these three players on the pitch. Although they played midweek, they will still have fresh legs.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:17 BST 5 April

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

And here come those Arsenal changes as Mead receives some treatment.

Chloe Kelly, Frida Maanum and the stricken Mead, who manages to walk off without need for a stretcher, are the players to come off, as Russo, Smith and Foord all eagerly sprint on.

  20. Postpublished at 14:15 BST 5 April

We've got a pause in play here as Beth Mead is splayed out on the floor after being caught by another late challenge.
