This has been a great performance from Brighton.

They have done really well defensively, they have frustrated and limited Arsenal to barely any chances at all, and they have really got in their opponents' faces as well.

Another Brighton injury now as keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie calls for treatment after attempting to save that Russo volley.

She's booed throughout her brief treatment before things get restarted once more.

Liverpool have seen more of the ball in these opening 18 minutes, but Charlton have looked a lot more dangerous in front of goal.

They just need to make one of those chances count.

Alessia Russo makes a clever run across the front post and does well to take down Emily Fox's dinked ball on the run but she smashes her volley over.

We'll have eight, yes EIGHT minutes of stoppage time at Meadow Park.

Not entirely sure where that has come from but the Arsenal fans won't care if their side use it to drag themselves level.

Charlotte Newsham does brilliantly to beat a couple of Liverpool players on the left wing before fizzing in a dangerous low ball, but Amalie Thestrup can't adjust her feet enough to get a shot away.

Another Arsenal cross, this time from Emily Fox, into the Brighton area but it's thumped high into the afternoon sunshine.

It's very difficult to see a way back into this for Arsenal right now.

If it was an afternoon where Arsenal had created chance after chance after chance, then you would think they had the momentum and could get something - but they haven't.

It has been a really poor performance, especially in front of goal.

The physios are on to tend to Madison Haley who is down with a spot of cramp after her relentless running display.

That gives the Brighton bench just enough time to ready defender Rachel McLauchlan to come on and replace her for the closing stages.

Cornelia Kapocs whips a ball into the middle of Charlton box where Aurélie Csillag is well positioned to have a go, but Elisha N'Dow stays with her and steals the ball to hoof it clear.

It's pinball around the Brighton box as an Arsenal corner descends into a shooting exercise, with those in red shirts firing snapshots at the target.

First Mariona Caldentey, then Olivia Smith and finally Laia Codina, whose shot makes it through the sea of blue and white to trouble keeper Chimaka Nnadozie, who responds with a strong two-handed parry.

Arsenal haven't really created anything at all today. It isn't like they have been knocking on the door continuously.

Brighton are the ones who seem to be in full control of the game, especially in these latter stages.

That would have been a lovely bit of play, had Amalie Thestrup managed to pull off that backheel finish. But it was never getting past Liverpool keeper Jennifer Falk.

One last roll of the dice for Arsenal as they send on first choice right-back Emily Fox in place of youngster Smilla Holmberg.

While the Gunners arguably have bigger fish to fry in the Champions League, this will be a big disappointment if they fail to rescue themselves here.

They are outright the most successful side in this competition yet they've not won it for a decade - it would be a real missed opportunity.

Mia Enderby is looking dangerous. The speedy winger drives into the Charlton box, but she can't quite curl the ball around a defender and the hosts' eventually clear the danger.

Brighton boss Dario Vidosic makes two more changes, bringing off Fran Kirby after her assist double alongside Marisa Olislagers.

On come defensive minded midfielders Maelys Mpome and Nadine Noordam - a clear sign that they're going to try to shut up shop.

Sophie Whitehouse is called into some early action and it's a great stop to tip a bullet header by Mia Enderby over the bar.

And the Irish keeper is there to collect the corner when it swings in.

Brighton full-back Manuela Vanegas finally goes into the book. The only surprise is that it's for time wasting rather than another sneaky trip.

Katie Bradley has a pop from the edge of the penalty area, but Fuka Nagano was always getting there and she makes a confident block.
