Oh my days, how are the Blades not 1-0 up!?

Harrison Burrows squares to Patrick Bamford who is unmarked around eight yards out after Dom Hyam slipped over.

The striker somehow guides the effort wide.

The home fans cannot believe that one didn't go in.

  8. 'A brilliant through pass'published at 15:08 GMT 21 March

    Southampton 1-0 Oxford

    Jo Tessem
Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

It was a brilliant through pass from Taylor Harwood-Bellis to Tom Fellows.

Cyle Larin was there for the tap in, but you have to say this is the kind of goal Southampton needed early on.

  9. Postpublished at 15:07 GMT 21 March

    Watford 0-0 Leicester

Leicester have failed to win any of their past nine away league games.

They start brightly but then have to be alive to the danger of a Watford counter-attack.

    Southampton 0-0 Oxford

There is bright sunshine at St Mary's, and Southampton seem to have the early possession of the ball.

You would say Saints need to be wary of the Oxford set-pieces.

  12. No pyro, no partypublished at 15:03 GMT 21 March

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Wrexham

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Bramall Lane

The smoke from the pre-match pyrotechnics is still lingering above the pitch.

But what an atmosphere here early on.

It feels as though the Blades know only a win will do if they're to keep their slim top six hopes alive.

As for Wrexham, it's all about making sure they stay firmly in the mix for a play-off spot.

Hull City v Sheff Wed (15:00 GMT)

Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has not sought to play down the importance of today's game against relegated Sheffield Wednesday.

The Tigers boss has said his side "must win" if they are to claim a play-off spot.

Jakirovic's men have lost three of their past four league games to see their grip on a top six berth loosen.

Wednesday are looking to end a run of 32 league matches without a win but did hold City to a 2-2 draw at Hillsborough back in December.

Uncertainty around the club's future continues off the pitch but they'll once again be backed by a sold out away end today.

Gary Rowett: Leicester City boss on what it will take to avoid relegation

What unenviable record do Wolves, Sunderland and Luton share?

If you answered successive relegations from the Premier League to League One then go to the top of the class.

Leicester are desperately trying to avoid becoming the fourth inductees of that costly club.

Put everything else to one side and consider a drop in broadcasting revenue by around £115m to start with and you get the idea of why third-tier football does not add up for the 2015 Premier League champions and 2021 FA Cup winners.

"I don't try to think about that side of it too much, because that then starts to maybe affect your decision-making and maybe be swayed into certain decisions around that," interim Leicester boss Gary Rowett told the BBC this week.

He's probably right, he has enough on his plate going to Watford with Leicester not having won in their past nine away games and possessing the second-worst defensive record in the Championship.

Meanwhile at Vicarage Road, Ed Still is settling well into the big chair, five points off the top six and having beaten Wrexham in midweek to stay in touch with the play-off chasers.

A win over Leicester would widen the frowns on those with a mathematical leaning in the east Midlands.

  18. Both Robins and Baggies need a win at Ashton Gatepublished at 14:55 GMT 21 March

Bristol City v West Brom (15:00)

Bristol City's wretched run of form has seen them drop away from the play-off race, but they were able to stop the rot with a credible draw at high-flying Middlesbrough last weekend.

They are now nine points off sixth and must turn things around quickly if they are to stand any chance of getting to Wembley and potentially the Premier League come May.

Before last week's timely 3-0 win over Hull, West Brom were in freefall. Interim boss James Morrison is presiding over a seriously worrying threat of relegation to League One, with the Baggies just one point above the bottom three.

This feels like one of those games where a draw suits neither side.

Two of the division's form sides meet in the league for just the second time since November 1987.

Southampton have re-found form at the perfect time and will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run to 12 games today.

Oxford looked doomed to relegation a few weeks ago but three wins and a draw in their past four games has put them firmly back in contention for another season in the second tier.

They beat the Saints 2-1 on Boxing Day and another victory would see them complete the league double over them for the first time ever*.

*This is only the sixth season the two clubs have been in the same division.
