    Derby 0-0 Birmingham

Millwall can get players wrapped around the ball, and they can make it really difficult for you to break out.

That is what they are doing at the moment.

Derby are unchanged from the side that beat Portsmouth in midweek, their third win in the past four league outings.

Meanwhile, Birmingham make two changes after being held by Sheffield United.

Jonathan Panzo starts in defence, while Jhon Solis drops to the bench.

Demarai Gray also starts, in place of Patrick Roberts.

There is a huge game in the race for the play-offs at lunchtime, as Derby face Birmingham at Pride Park.

Neither side are in great form coming into the game with inconsistency a problem.

Derby's midweek win at Portsmouth got them back on track after defeat by Millwall. A win over Blackburn beforehand followed successive losses away at Hull and Watford.

Birmingham are unbeaten in their past two after a win over QPR and a draw with Sheffield United, but that only came after three straight league defeats by Charlton, Middlesbrough and Millwall.

Only four points separate the two sides, with victory for the Rams putting them level on points with the top six for the time being.

Ipswich make two changes from the side which beat Sheffield Wednesday seven days ago.

Sindre Walle Egeli and George Hirst drop to the bench and in come Kasey McAteer and Ivan Azon.

There are also two changes made by Millwall as they hope to bounce back from defeat by Blackburn.

Caleb Taylor and Luke Cundle get the nod to start with Dan McNamara and Barry Bannan among the substitutes.

Zak Sturge takes his place at left-back having had his red card against Blackburn overturned on appeal.

  12. Town and Lions aim to jump the queuepublished at 12:15 GMT 21 March

    Ipswich v Millwall (12:30 GMT)

There was a time this season when the top two seemed done and dusted, but this is the Championship and we really should have known better.

While second-placed Middlesbrough are doing battle at Blackburn this lunchtime they will be well aware anything less than a win could see them leapfrogged by Ipswich or Millwall.

Not that third v fourth at Portman Road is going to define anyone's season if you listen to Lions boss Alex Neil.

"We understand the importance of the game but it's not going to make or break our season although it is a vitally important match at this stage," the Scot told BBC Radio London this week.

A goalless draw between these two on Boxing Day gave little away in separating them and now they are locked level on 68 points while also lying third and fourth in the form table.

From the outside, a six-game unbeaten run may give the impression Ipswich are beginning to move through the gears having strengthened in January, but a failure to beat struggling Leicester, surrendering a 2-0 lead at Stoke and labouring to victory over relegated Sheffield Wednesday has raised some doubts about their credentials.

This looks pivotal but remember, it's not make or break, Alex says so.

  13. Sea of red in sunny Blackburnpublished at 12:13 GMT 21 March

    Blackburn v Middlesbrough (12:30 GMT)

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport reporter at Ewood Park

Middlesbrough fans have crossed the Pennines en masse this morning to cheer their boys on here in sunny Blackburn.

More than 7,000 of them will pack out the Darwen End, asked to make a 'sea of red' to cheer Kim Hellberg's team to victory that would keep the chasing pack of Ipswich and Millwall behind them.

For those of you who know Ewood Park, the pub nearest the away end has been doing a roaring trade with those in red in jovial spirits.

Will those from Teesside still be in similar mood come half past two?

  14. Three changes for Rovers; Hackney out for Boropublished at 12:11 GMT 21 March

Tom Atcheson, Moussa Baradji and Mathias Jorgensen all start for Blackburn as Michael O'Neill makes three changes from the side which won at Millwall last weekend.

Hayden Carter is out with a hamstring injury while skipper Todd Cantwell and Yuki Ohashi are on the bench so Sean McLoughlin wears the armband.

The big news for Middlesbrough is the absence of Hayden Hackney who has failed to shake off a calf muscle injury. Captain Dael Fry and Slovakia international David Strelec return to the starting line-up with Jeremy Sarmiento dropping to the bench.

  15. Rovers and Boro under the pumppublished at 12:09 GMT 21 March

    Blackburn v Middlesbrough (12:30 GMT)

Pressure comes in different guises as Blackburn and Middlesbrough can attest to.

Rovers' season has lurched from one disaster to another but they may have called on the services of Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill just in time.

O'Neill has overseen three victories from his seven games in charge which is as many as they had managed in their previous 18 outings and has carried them three points clear of the relegation zone.

Victory at Millwall last weekend upturned the form book and may well have concentrated the minds of those travelling from the north east today.

From going top of the table in early February and seven points clear of third place, Middlesbrough suddenly find their automatic promotion place under threat - defeat at Ewood Park could drop them the wrong side of the line.

"What we do here is the most important thing - how we train, how we play and how we try to develop," said Boro boss Kim Hellberg before today's game.

"There will always be noise from outside, good and bad and that's why football is such a big sport."

Anything less than a win today and that bad noise may start getting louder.

  17. Devine is divine for Prestonpublished at 12:06 GMT 21 March

    Championship

Preston ended a seven-game winless run in the Championship with a 3-1 win over Stoke on Friday night.

Alfie Devine was the Potters' chief destroyer with two goals - his first brace in senior football.

Milutin Osmajic struck his ninth goal of the season after Stoke had taken the lead through Welsh international Sorba Thomas.

It is North End's first league win since a 1-0 victory over Portsmouth at the start of February while for Stoke it is their third defeat in five outings.

Preston's win over Stoke last night has just about kept them in touch with the play-off race, albeit it now looks a very distant ambition. It will also have surely extinguished any worries about being dragged into the relegation battle after last season's collapse into trouble.

We could have a new side in second today if Middlesbrough fail to win at Blackburn.

At the bottom there could be a fair bit of movement such is the scramble in the race to escape the drop.
