    Aston Villa 0-2 RB Salzburg

"It's just a tap-in" makes me think that Martin Keown didn't see that Moussa Yeo flicked that brilliantly.

It's good movement and a really good finish at the end of it by Moussa Yeo.

We didn't see much of Kerim Alajbegovic in the first half but he does really well here.

    It's just a tap-in.

    Aston Villa 0-2 RB Salzburg

Despite winning 2-0 at Villa Park, RB Salzburg are still a point outside of the play-off places.

You wouldn't have thought that with how they've played tonight.

You usually trust Igor Jesus when he watches the ball come across. He is a really competent header of the ball. We have seen Jesus score headers.

    What a finish that is!

It's brilliant from Kerim Alajbegovic to avoid a couple of Villa challenges in the box before he squares for Moussa Yeo to produce an exceptional flicked finish.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:08 GMT 29 January

    Nottingham Forest 2-0 Ferencvaros

Quick start to the second half from Forest!

First, Ryan Yates jinks past a defender and forces a good save from David Grof. Then, moments later, a cross comes in from the right and Igor Jesus heads narrowly wide.

Tyrone Mings just delays and the ball goes to Karim Konate. Is it going in from him?

It's a real sloppy goal to concede.

And here's how the play-off spots are shaping up.

Ludogorets are occupying 24th place as it stands, with Young Boys and Salzburg set to miss out on the next stage of the competition.

Those sides only trail the Bulgarian club by a point though, so a goal here and there and it could be all change once again.

  12. Top eight as it standspublished at 21:03 GMT 29 January

Right, as we sit here at half-time this is how the top eight is looking.

There's work to do for Unai Emery and Villa if they are to have a chance of claiming top spot.

The big winners of the evening so far are FC Porto, who have are into the top eight at the expense of Ferencvaros.

Bologna lead 1-0 at Maccabi Tel Aviv, but they still need other results to go their way if they are to snatch automatic qualification for the last 16.

Ludogorets 1-0 advantage over already eliminated Nice means that as things stand they will be earning a place in the play-offs.

Having taken an away lead PAOK have been pegged back by league leaders Lyon.

Midtjylland are being held to a stalemate by Dinamo Zagreb. The Danes are safe in fourth for now, but they could be in trouble if the likes of Real Betis, Porto and Braga start firing in more goals.

It's also goalless between Freiburg and Lille, but that suits both just fine as they hold onto their respective top eight, and play-off spots.

Meanwhile, Genk have levelled against Malmo and a win could still put them inside the top eight depending on other results.

A sloppy opening 45 minutes from Unai Emery’s side.

Too many of his outfield players are off it, epitomised by Tyrone Mings' poor touch for the visitors goal.

The half-time whistle was heard loud and clear because the home supporters appear somewhat stunned with what they've seen from their team.

GOAL - Porto 3-1 Rangerspublished at 20:50 GMT 29 January

Emmanuel Fernandez (own goal, 41 minutes)

    Deary me!

Porto have a third and it's courtesy of an own goal from Emmanuel Fernandez.

The defender tries to head Williams Gomes' corner to safety but gets it all wrong and it flies past goalkeeper Jack Butland.

He won't want to see that back again.

  18. goal

GOAL - Celtic 3-1 Utrechtpublished at 20:49 GMT 29 January

    Dani de Wit

Utrecht just get a little foothold in the game as Dani de Wit shapes a shot into the bottom right corner.

Celtic will be frustrated to concede in that fashion.

HT: Aston Villa 0-1 RB Salzburg

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at Villa Park

The argument Ollie Watkins could have been rested is an obvious one but Unai Emery had few options.

Donyell Malen has been sold to Roma and Evann Guessand is close to joining Crystal Palace on loan - the Eagles have an option to buy.

New signing Tammy Abraham cannot play this evening so what were the alternatives? Young attacking midfielder Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba is on the bench but is yet to start.

Morgan Rogers as a false nine? Then you are risking him too so it was Catch 22 for Emery.

Now he has to hope Watkins' replacement Rogers gets through unscathed.
