Bolton's Sam Dalby is proving to be a real menace in the second half.

Just a few minutes after turning a chance over the bar, he is back in the thick of it from a set-piece.

Josh Sheehan lifts a free-kick deep into the area, where Dalby stretches out a leg to meet it.

He just doesn't have the go-go gadget reach to prod his volley on target.

    Bradford 1-2 Cardiff

Nearly a clinical counter from Cardiff as Ollie Tanner is freed down the right by a lovely weighted pass and flashes a first-time cross into the mixer which Aden Baldwin does brilliantly to flick away from the lurking Yousef Salech.

Baldwin then gets up to shepherd a low ball through to keeper Sam Walker under pressure from Joel Bagan, getting a clattering for his troubles. Though he'll be okay to continue.

Another moment of quality from this young man! Right when Bradford City needed him! What a finish! The Valley Parade crowd needed that goal.

Bradford are back in it, Metcalfe doing what Turnbull did in the first half.

It is game on all of a sudden.

Listen to the change of noise, it was like a library moments ago.

The Bradford fans find their voices.

  10. goal

GOAL: Bradford 1-2 Cardiffpublished at 13:51 GMT 17 January

    Jenson Metcalfe (59 mins)

    Game on. And another stunner.

After a short corner from the left, the ball is swung in and headed only as far as Josh Neufville who cushions it into the path of Jenson Metcalfe who whips a glorious finish, almost identical to David Turnbull's earlier, into the far top corner.

One shot on target, one goal.

This should be a barnstorming final half-hour.

  11. CLOSE!published at 13:50 GMT 17 January

    Wigan 0-0 Bolton

Bolton are knocking hard on the door in search of the opening goal at Wigan, and Sam Dalby very nearly breaks through.

Mason Burstow does well to flash a low pass into the feet of Dalby, who can only turn his attempted finish over the bar from close range.

    Tranmere 0-2 Walsall

Alex Pattison has had a decent league debut for the Saddlers after his first-half assist as he breaks up potential danger in front of his own box.

Evan Weir then whips in a corner at the other end after Daniel Kanu threatened again. Tranmere keeper Jack Barrett turns it over the bar.

  14. CLOSE!published at 13:47 GMT 17 January

    Bradford 0-2 Cardiff

    How is it not 3-0?

Gabriel Osho powers in a near-post header from an in-swinging Cardiff corner but though it flashes past Sam Walker it's blocked on the line by the face of the unwitting Max Power and scrambled away by the hosts.

That was the chance for Humphrys to put his mark on this game.

He just got in front of the ball and just skies it. Such a great opportunity after brilliant play from Neufville

    Wigan 0-0 Bolton

Bolton players are almost lining up in search of an opening goal at Wigan.

Problem is, there is almost a reluctance for anyone to shoot when well placed.

The ball is moved around the edge of the area, with Jordi Osei-Tutu and Amario Cozier-Duberry both having it at their feet at different times.

Both are crowded out by Wigan's defence, and while Bolton keep their attacking raid alive they can only force a corner. And even that set-piece amounts to nothing.

    Bradford 0-2 Cardiff

David Turnbull gets the ball 20 yards out, in a similar position from which he curled the glorious opening goal but this time he gets less power and height on it and Sam Walker is able to hold on, diving to his right.

  19. 'Cardiff got away with one there'published at 13:44 GMT 17 January

    Bradford 0-2 Cardiff

    Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

Best chance of the game so far for Bradford.

Cardiff got away with one there.

Bagan did well to pull his foot away having stuck his foot out, but he ought to do better defending one on one.

  20. CLOSE!published at 13:44 GMT 17 January

    Bradford 0-2 Cardiff

    Should be a goal back.

Max Power glances a header out to Josh Neufville on the right who does brilliantly to get to the byline past Joel Bagan and whip a low cross into the near post where Stephen Humphreys can only smash over the bar from six yards out.

Much better from Bradford, but they await their first attempt on target.
