  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:06 GMT 3 December 2025

    Dundee United 1-1 Rangers

    How are Rangers not ahead!?

Danilo's cross to the back post finds Djeidi Gassama, but he can only bundle against the post. He gets to the rebound, but it's saved by Dave Richards.

At the third attempt, he fires a cut-back to Danilo but the Brazilian takes a bad touch and it's cleared.

  2. 'Martin O'Neill' rings outpublished at 21:06 GMT 3 December 2025

    Celtic 1-0 Dundee

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

A quick wave from Celtic's interim manager in response to the crowd chanting his name. He knows, though, this isn't quite finished.

Celtic have had chances to move further ahead but they are far from overrunning their opponents in terms of direct threat on goal.

Steven Pressley has made changes for Dundee, presumably for fresh legs, but they remain in with a shout despite struggling to get forward,

  3. Solid St Mirren with something to hold on topublished at 21:03 GMT 3 December 2025

    Aberdeen 0-1 St Mirren

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

St Mirren have looked well organised and solid all night.

Now that they have got a lead to defend, Aberdeen are going to have their work cut out trying to get back in to this game.

  4. Postpublished at 21:03 GMT 3 December 2025

    Dundee United 1-1 Rangers

Rangers hit on the counter and Djeidi Gassama has it on the right. He twists, he turns, he hits a shot that Dave Richards parries away.

Again, United look weak at the back.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:01 GMT 3 December 2025

    Hearts 1-0 Kilmarnock

Hearts midfielder Tomas Magnusson gets his head to a Harry Milne cross and watches the ball knock off the left-hand post.

  6. goal

GOAL Aberdeen 0-1 St Mirrenpublished at 20:59 GMT 3 December 2025

    Marcus Fraser (pen)

Marcus Fraser isn't known for his penalty-taking abilities, but he sits Dimitar Mitov down and puts St Mirren in front.

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:59 GMT 3 December 2025

    Celtic 1-0 Dundee

Luke McCowan has a go from the edge of the area after a lovely pass from Reo Hatate but is denied by Dundee keeper Jon McCracken.

Daizen Maeda rushes in to get on the end of the rebound but he just can't make good contact and it rolls out for a goal kick.

  8. PENALTY TO ST MIRRENpublished at 20:57 GMT 3 December 2025

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

Referee Steven McLean is off to the monitor...

    And he's given it!

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:56 GMT 3 December 2025

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

Big shouts for handball from the St Mirren players after an innocuous cross into the Aberdeen box.

It does appear to strike Mats Knoester's hand...

  10. Postpublished at 20:55 GMT 3 December 2025

    Hearts 1-0 Kilmarnock

Almost a quickfire second for Hearts and Lawrence Shankland as a fierce cross from the left is headed by the captain, who forces Robbie Deas into a superb block.

  11. CLOSE!published at 20:55 GMT 3 December 2025

    Falkirk 0-0 Motherwell

    Motherwell are cranking this up.

A well-worked triangle of passing frees Tom Sparrow on the right. He fizzes in a dangerous ball across the six-yard box, and Scott Bain reacts extremely well to stop a deflection taking the ball by him.

Then, just seconds later, Falkirk captain Brad Spencer tries to lob Well keeper Calum Ward from about 50 yards.

    This game is heating up...

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:51 GMT 3 December 2025

    Dundee United 1-1 Rangers

A decent early chance for United as they launch a four-on-three counter attack, but they don't make the most of it.

Rangers come down the other end and Nedim Bajrami has a brilliant, squiggly shot punched in the air by Dave Richards. Danilo is on the follow up and tries a bicycle kick which hits the bar!

What a start to the second half.

  13. goal

GOAL Hearts 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 20:51 GMT 3 December 2025

    Lawrence Shankland

That's more like it from Hearts - and their captain.

A Tomas Magnusson pass manages to find its way to Lawrence Shankland, who lifts a lovely finish over the keeper and the league leaders are ahead.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:49 GMT 3 December 2025

    Falkirk 0-0 Motherwell

Just a few seconds after the restart in Falkirk and Motherwell blow a huge chance to take the lead.

It's Tawanda Maswanhise who latches on to a big hoof up the park after Liam Henderson's attempted headed clearance goes straight in the air.

The Zimbabwe winger turns back on his left with a neat flick, but is denied by Scott Bain. He really should be bursting the net.

  15. KICK-OFF / SECOND HALFpublished at 20:48 GMT 3 December 2025

Up and running again at the Falkirk Stadium and Tynecastle...

    HT: Celtic 1-0 Dundee

A closer look at Daizen Maeda's injury, which he picked up in the act of scoring...

    That's going to sting.

Get Involvedpublished at 20:46 GMT 3 December 2025

Tavernier is a hindrance for Rangers. Why does he have to take every free kick, corner etc? He's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Overall performance from the team is much better tonight.

The Celtic team are playing for Martin O’Neill. They stopped giving it all under Rodgers. Will the new manager be able to inspire?

  18. Celtic ahead but not out of sightpublished at 20:45 GMT 3 December 2025

    HT: Celtic 1-0 Dundee

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

A fully deserved lead for Celtic and a quality goal from Daizen Maeda to earn it. Martin O'Neill will no doubt have hoped to have a wider cushion, though.

Dundee, to their credit, have done well to hang in. They've rarely threatened bar a big moment just before the break when Simon Murray hit the crossbar.

That will given them encouragement. A reminder to Celtic it's not over.

  19. Blunt Motherwell strugglingpublished at 20:43 GMT 3 December 2025

    HT: Falkirk 0-0 Motherwell

A cutting edge has been blamed as the downfall of Motherwell's free-flowing football this season, albeit they've been creating chances of late. Not against Falkirk, though.

The Steelmen have an expected goals (xG) of 0.09, and you can see why by the heat map below.

Falkirk have been physical and dogged, but even they are far from perfect.

John McGlynn's side have mixed it up, but they are currently rocking a pass completion rate of a lowly 59.7%. That's not great at all.

  20. St Mirren finish half stronglypublished at 20:40 GMT 3 December 2025

    HT: Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson's face said it all as referee Steven McLean ruled in favour of Aberdeen keeper Dimitar Mitov instead of awarding his side a goal after Scott Tanser found the net.

It was a look which said 'things aren't going for us at the moment'.

His side certainly finished the first half strongly and could have taken a lead in to the break.

Aberdeen have spurned several very good opportunities themselves.

As the score suggests, nothing in this game so far.
