An early goal, and it could be a big one in the play-off race after Stevenage dropped points earlier!

The maths is pretty simple for Crawley.

Win and the Reds could remain a Football League side. Anything else - and things could go down to the final day of the season.

"Destination Survival" their boss Colin Kazim Richards has called it - and all eyes on whether that train will be a smooth ride - or derail as it passes through Accrington’s Wham Stadium today.

One fan’s confident - telling me Colin is, ‘their man’ ahead of a huge 7 days.

  6. 'Equation for Exeter is simple'published at 15:03 BST 25 April

The equation for Exeter City here at the Pirelli Stadium is simple - win and you can take the survival fight to the last game.

Anything less and they could be heading out of League One into League Two come 5pm this evening.Today's hosts Burton Albion were in trouble earlier this campaign but Gary Bowyer's side have picked up and only have one defeat in their last six games and that run has helped them to get clear of the drop zone.

Tyreece Shade and Jake Beesley have 27 goals between them and those have really helped fire the Brewers up the League One table. Expect both will be on many clubs radars when the summer window opens up.

The Grecians have done well to make it four successive season in the third tier and if they can pull off the great escape, the squad and returning manager Matt Taylor will deserve a lot of credit.

For that to happen though they have to win today so I expect a really open and entertaining game!

I mean I don’t like to boast ahead of the greatest marathon on earth tomorrow, but it feels like I’ve walked 26.2 miles to get to the gantry here.

Talk about going around the houses.

And the hayfever isn’t helping. But, it might not just be the high pollen causing watery eyes in these parts this evening.

Luton Town’s play-off push is still on, and Jack Wilshire’s brought back Mads Anderson to play against the club he used to captain to ensure the right levels are reached this afternoon.

And given the visitors have just got mid-table to play off – they could easily be rolled over here … if Luton start brightly.

Now, someone pass me a tissue.

  9. 'Pensive looks on Wimbledon fans faces'published at 14:58 BST 25 April

    Wigan v Wimbledon (15:00 BST)

    Adam Cottier
BBC Final Score commentator at Wigan

I noted some pensive looks on the faces of some AFC Wimbledon fans as I arrived here at Wigan.

Further inquisition told me more about the terrible deterioration in form that leaves Jonnie Jackson’s team in dire need of a win today.

Fans I spoke to told me injuries had played a huge part in AFC Wimbledon’s six-match losing run, with forward players in short supply.

Those same fans also indicated to me that no blame should lie at Jackson’s door.

The London side host Huddersfield on the final day and they can ill-afford to drop into the relegation zone for the first time this season this afternoon.

Aside from our feature games, we will bring you snippets of the big moments from across the rest of League Two this afternoon.

Colchester host Notts County in what could prove to be a huge one for the Magpies as they still hunt that final automatic promotion spot, anything less than a win and they may have to settle for the play-offs.

Chesterfield welcome Crewe as they look to leapfrog Grimsby who occupy that final play-off position.

Cheltenham travel to Bristol Rovers with neither side able to reach the play-offs, but safety confirmed.

Barnet have a chance to close the gap on the play-off spots and take it to the last game of the season as they entertain a Gillingham side who have confirmed their League Two status already.

Crawley face a trip to Accrington knowing a win could potentially see them safe depending on results elsewhere, however a loss could also see them slide in the relegation zone.

Fleetwood also travel to Shrewsbury with both sides safe, the Fishermen will be eyeing that top-half finish.

  11. 'An almighty noise at Rodney Parade'published at 14:56 BST 25 April

    Newport v Oldham (15:00 BST)

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

There is an almighty noise here at Rodney Parade; no mistaking that the home support know what's at stake.

League Two survival is in Newport County's hands - and could even secure it today should results go their way.

Fail to do so, and they could be looking at a winner-takes-all clash with Barrow on the final day.

There will have been fans making their way to the ground wondering if this is the last time they will watch their club in the Football League.

Credit to them, they are putting nerves to one side to create an atmosphere that can't fail to inspire.

    Hold onto your hats.

  12. No fairytale ending guaranteed for Newport but will it come anyway?published at 14:56 BST 25 April

    Newport v Oldham (15:00 BST)

    Media caption,

Christian Fuchs previews Newport's crucial match against Oldham as they seek survival.

When Newport boss Christian Fuchs first began his reign with Newport County, it was Oldham whom he faced.

Then, the Latics ravaged a relegation-threatened Newport 3-0 but now Oldham aren't looking so fierce.

They've lost each of their past three games to end their promotion dreams, leaving them in a rut with nothing to play for.

Meanwhile, Newport could completely evade relegation with a victory at Rodney Parade if Barrow and Harrogate succumb to losses.

It would wrap Fuchs' journey with the Exiles in a nice bow if he could secure his side survival by winning the team who first served him defeat - but the Austrian isn't all that interested in nice narratives.

"It's stories that football tells us, but we're not in a make-a-wish foundation here," said Fuchs.

"I'm expecting an Oldham team that will be up for it, but we will be up for it as well."

  13. Barrow keep believing against Cambridgepublished at 14:54 BST 25 April

    Cambridge v Barrow (15:00 BST)

It's not the end of the season just yet, but it couldn't get more nail-biting for Barrow.

The side could see themselves relegated with a loss today if Newport and Crawley both claim wins and a victory will not come easily.

They face a Cambridge side ousted from the top three by Salford's massive victory over Bromley and desperate to regain their place in order to not keep their destiny in their own hands heading into the final day.

Though as difficult as it may be to earn a result against the side with the best defensive record in the EFL, Barrow still believe.

"It's about making sure we give ourselves the best chance to go to Cambridge, who are flying in this league and get some sort of result," goal keeper Wyll Stanway told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"If we don't believe in ourselves, there's no hope at all. So we need to go there making sure we're the best version of ourselves and get the three points."

  14. 'This feels like a must-win for Harrogate'published at 14:52 BST 25 April

    Walsall v Harrogate

    Nesta McGregor
    BBC Sport at

Simon Weaver’s team are propping up the table and this feels like a must win.

Anything but and they’ll be relying on other teams to do them a favour. Yet Town’s 99th-minute winner last time out against Colchester proves they’re prepared to fight until the very end.

Walsall in mid-table, so bettering their league position (and pride) is what they’ll be playing for.

Their final home game of the season, so a chance to say thank you to fans!

The stadium is giving first game of the season vibes. Stunning sunshine, the pitch is perfect, let’s hope the football is fabulous.”

  15. Harrogate 'back from the dead' but will they be able to salvage their life in the EFL?published at 14:49 BST 25 April

    Walsall v Harrogate (15:00 BST)

    Media caption,

Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver previews the trip to Walsall.

Harrogate's win over Colchester last time out has offered the side the slightest glimmer of hope.

But while there is only two points between the bottom four, a loss for the Sulphurites right now could prove fatal to their stay in the EFL.

Should they lose at the Bescot Stadium this afternoon and Crawley and Newport win their games, relegation will become reality.

Even if not today, they will still want to be in a stronger position come the final day of the season when they face a Barnet side who may still be holding onto play-off hopes. But boss Simon Weaver has every intention of grabbing their EFL future by the horns.

"There's been months of things conspiring against us," Weaver told BBC Radio York.

"It's been the hardest campaign I've ever had, as player or manager, but what doesn't break you makes you stronger and we feel strong right now and competitive and stoic and resilient.

"There's light at the end of the tunnel if we acquit ourselves well. We are back from the dead and hungry for me."

Away from specific focus in League One today, there are quite a few fixtures in play. Blackpool, in 16th, host 19th placed Leyton Orient looking to extend their winning run to three games.

Already promoted Cardiff host bottom already relegated Northampton in their final home game, while two midtable sides meet at the John Smith's Stadium as Huddersfield meet Mansfield.

Lincoln's precession as champions continues against Barnsley, while Plymouth look to keep their slim play-off hopes alive against second bottom Port Vale.

Finally, Lee Clark's Rotherham, who are already down, meet Reading.

  17. A huge clash awaits at the Pirellipublished at 14:44 BST 25 April

    Burton v Exeter (15:00 BST)

Exeter interim manager Matt TaylorImage source, Shutterstock

Do games get bigger than this, considering what's at stake?

We could be in for a rollercoaster of a day at the Pirelli Stadium, with four points separating these two sides at the bottom end of League One.

Burton go into this knowing a win would secure their safety.

Last weekend's 1-1 draw at Peterborough meant the Brewers are now four unbeaten (W1, D3), moving them four points clear of the relegation zone.

Exeter could be relegated today if they fail to pick up the three points and other results go against them.

Matt Taylor's side currently occupy the final relegation place and have drawn their past two games to just about keep their head above water.

But, with two points separating them and AFC Wimbledon in 20th, and three off Leyton Orient in 19th, a Grecians defeat combined with a win for the Dons, and a draw or better for Leyton Orient would confirm relegation back to League Two after four seasons in the third tier.

  18. Can Dons steer away from danger?published at 14:44 BST 25 April

Wigan v AFC Wimbledon (15:00 BST)

    Johnnie JacksonImage source, Shutterstock

Wigan will look to continue their push up the League One table after going unbeaten in their past five games (W3 D2).

Gary Caldwell's side, who are are currently 14th and have kept clean sheets in their past two games, will have a mid-table finish in their sights.

AFC Wimbledon need a win to keep them away from the drop zone. It's as simple as that.

The Dons are two points above the dotted line in 20th and are struggling for form. Last Saturday's 3-1 defeat against Plymouth was their sixth in a row, meaning they've only picked up one point from their past nine outings.

Defeat today could see Johnnie Jackson's side slip into the relegation zone if Exeter win at Burton.

  19. Play-off rivals square off to secure placepublished at 14:41 BST 25 April

    Bradford v Bolton (15:00 BST)

Bolton Wanderers manager Steven SchumacherImage source, Shutterstock

We're all set for a crunch game at Valley Parade this afternoon as these two play-off rivals go head-to-head. So, what's at stake, then?

Fourth-placed Bradford City require a win a today to guarantee a play-off spot after Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Plymouth.

The Bantams have been on course for the play-offs for much of the campaign, but are stumbling rather than sprinting towards that line having not won a game in their past three and drawing two on the bounce.

Graham Alexander's side would leapfrog Bolton into third place if they beat them today.

Ibrahim Cissoko's stoppage-time equaliser against Huddersfield last time out means a point today will safeguard Bolton's place in the play-offs.

    What could possibly go wrong?
