Let's take a quick look at what else is going on in League One as we head towards the 15:00 BST kick-offs...

Sixth-placed Reading welcome Huddersfield in a big game for both sides in their respective hunt for a play-off place. The Royals know anything less than a win could see them drop out of the top six. Meanwhile the Terriers will want to keep chase with the pack. Despite sitting 10th and not picking up any wins in their past three outings (D2 L1), the West Yorkshire outfit are four points off today's opponents.

Stevenage, who sit just a point adrift the play-off places in seventh, make the trip to face a struggling Rotherham who are winless in their past five league games (D2 L3). Alex Revell's side not only have opportunity to do a first league double over the Millers, but they can also be sitting in the top six if Reading slip up.

At the other end of the table - after 19th-placed Wigan's goalless draw against Leyton Orient last night, there's a basement battle as Exeter, who are sat in 21st, make the long journey north to face Blackpool in 20th with just two points separating the two sides. The Tangerines picked up a big win against Burton last time out to climb out of the drop zone but will be well aware they can fall straight back into it come this evening. The Grecians will end a 14-game winless streak to have to do just that.

  14. Imps in final orbitpublished at 14:55 BST 3 April

Lincoln v AFC Wimbledon (15:00 BST)

Lincoln City head coach Michael Skubala + captain Tendayi Darikwa ahead of AFC Wimbledon

While rockets propel themselves towards the moon, back on planet earth Lincoln City are orbiting the Championship and could land in their own sea of tranquility by five o'clock.

Victory for the Imps over mid-table AFC Wimbledon, coupled with both Stockport and Bolton dropping points will send them back to the second tier of English football for the first time in 65 years.

A 22-game unbeaten run has seen Michael Skubala's side run away from the rest, including previous leaders Cardiff and even if they do not make it today it is only a matter of when and not if they can start the party.

Wimbledon have stabilised after winning promotion last season and having hit the 50-point mark can start planning for another campaign in League One, just do not mention Good Friday to the Londoners.

Johnnie Jackson's side have failed to win any of their past 13 games on this day - the longest run of any EFL club and probably music to the ears of Lincoln supporters.

    Stockport v Wycombe (15:00 BST)

In a parallel universe these two sides would have met in the play-off final last season.

As it turned out both were beaten in the semi-finals and left to lick their wounds over the summer.

Stockport have been at the right end of the table all season but a run of four defeats from five games over February and March ended any hopes of gatecrashing the automatic promotion places so here they are left with the play-offs once again.

Not that a top-six place is guaranteed with only three points separating the fifth-placed Hatters from the chasing pack.

Wycombe's recovery to challenge for a top-six finish required a change of manager with Michael Duff replacing Mike Dodds in September.

Three defeats from their past five outings has raised doubts they can repeat last year's achievement but there is still only a two-point gap to bridge.

  16. Argyle on a missionpublished at 14:53 BST 3 April

    Plymouth v Bolton (15:00 BST)

Plymouth boss Tom CleverleyImage source, Getty Images

Hands up the all Plymouth supporters who believed the play-offs were a realistic target at the turn of year?

Yeah, put them down, don't believe you.

As we entered 2026 Plymouth were in the relegation zone, 11 points short of the top six. Fifteen games later they are up to ninth place, two points adrift of the play-off places.

Ten wins and just three defeats have left those above them sweating and looking in their rear view mirror.

Only the top two of Lincoln and Cardiff have scored more than Argyle's 60 goals in League One with Lorent Tolaj (17) and Bim Pepple (15) terrorising defences.

Bolton have lugged themselves down to the south west knowing only a win will do to keep alive faint hopes of automatic promotion - and we do mean faint, so faint you may have more chance of seeing Artemis 2 going around the moon.

But, while Plymouth were in the drop zone on January 1, Wanderers were sixth which is at least a show of consistency which will will serve them well in a likely play-off campaign.

Mansfield move up to 12th place with their win at Doncaster.

Rovers remain seven points clear of trouble but an Exeter win over Blackpool later would make things a little more interesting, especially as Doncaster go to Exeter on Monday.

Plenty of goings on today also in League Two after the Easter weekend kicked off with yesterday's 1-1 draw between Cambridge and Swindon saw the U's miss the chance to go second while Swindon's late leveller sees them two points adrift the top three in fifth.

Time to see what the rest can do today and the hunt for a play-off place is as tight as it gets...

Crewe travel to Accrington with the seventh-placed Railwaymen aiming to remain in the play-off picture. Lee Bell's side could make it three wins on the bounce today against a Stanley side who are winless in their past eight. They'll be looking to avoid a fourth loss in a row.

Eighth-placed Grimsby and Chesterfield in ninth sit just a point behind Crewe and will be looking to keep their sights firmly locked at that top six when they host Harrogate and Cheltenham respectfully.

Oldham, in 10th, saw their 11-game undefeated streak come to a halt after they lost at play-off rivals Crewe last time out. Despite that defeat they are only two points off seventh as they travel to Colchester.

Walsall head coach Darren Byfield will be looking to keep his and his side's undefeated run going having steered the Saddlers to two wins and two draws when they welcome Gillingham. They currently sit a place behind Oldham in 11th and are also two points adrift the play-offs.

It's a similar story at the foot of the table in terms of how tight things are.

Crawley in 21st and Newport in 22nd both picked up vital wins last time out to stay out of the danger zone, but are just two points from safety. Today they face off at Broadfield Stadium in a huge clash that could prove pivotal come the end of the season as new Crawley head coach Colin Kazim-Richards will be looking for his second win.
