    Brentford 0-0 Sunderland

Mathias Jensen and Igor Thiago make a complete hash of three versus two with the Danish midfielder playing the ball behind the Brazil, who just wanted to be able to finish first time.

Brentford really ought to have made that count.

    Man City 0-0 Brighton

Manchester City have regained control after that shaky start.

And they very nearly take the lead as Jeremy Doku fizzes a strike across goal, with Bart Verbruggen getting an important touch.

    Evanilson

Bournemouth are back on level terms - and Tottenham will be kicking themselves.

Marcus Tavernier is afforded far too much time and space to whip a cross into the box and Evanilson is up to attack it and place a header beyond the reach of Guglielmo Vicario.

    Decent game this.

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

Enzo Fernandez's inswinging corners are causing huge issues for Fulham. Each one looks as if it might end up in the net.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 19:50 GMT 7 January

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea are an inch away from the opener.

Enzo Fernandez swings in a corner which Bernd Leno can't get a proper fist to and Andrey Santos heads the ball off the crossbar from very close range - under some pressure.

Moises Caicedo's rebound effort was blocked.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Tottenham

Lucas Bergvall is having a decent game.

After testing Djordje Petrovic earlier, he wins a corner which sees Cristian Romero's glancing header land on the roof of the net.

    Very lively.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:49 GMT 7 January

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

Brennan Johnson is sent racing into box and just as you think he's about to score his first Palace goal on his home debut, Emi Martinez produces a brilliant save to flick over.

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

In Harry Wilson, Fulham have one of the form players in the country.

Only Erling Haaland has been involved in more goals (goals and assists) since 1 November than the 28-year-old Wales international.

During that time Fulham have picked up 20 points from 11 games - which is the fourth best record in the league.

A long free-kick is sent into the Wolves box. James Tarkowski does well to nod back to Tim Iroegbunam and his strike is deflected in by Michael Keane.

    Brentford 0-0 Sunderland

A long Sunderland throw into the box has the hosts in panic mode after Igor Thiago elects to duck under the ball.

Keeper Caoimhin Kelleher didn't have a clue that was coming and fumbles the ball but the referee's whistle goes with Dan Ballard putting the pressure on.

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

This is the fifth time Fulham manager Marco Silva has been in charge for a home game against Chelsea in the Premier League (including as Everton boss).

All five have been against different Blues managers - Maurizio Sarri, Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino, Enzo Maresca and now Calum McFarlane.

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

Fulham's Harry Wilson pounces onto a loose ball and tries to curl a shot in from 25 yards. Simple for Robert Sanchez to save really.

Wilson, with two efforts - both on target, is the only person to shoot in this game.

    Man City 0-0 Brighton

Jeremy Doku waltzes down the left wing before his cross is cut out before it reaches Erling Haaland, who was already lining up a volley.

The resulting corner eventually falls to Bernardo Silva and his strike is saved easily enough by Bart Verbruggen.

There was a quick VAR check there for a penalty, but it's been cleared.

Mathys Tel's goal was timed at four minutes and 55 seconds.

It's the first time Tottenham have scored in the opening five minutes of a Premier League away game since December 2024, when James Maddison netted after 37 seconds at Southampton.

Mateus Mane is some talent, isn't he? He comes forward and wins Wolves a free-kick.

It gets launched into the box but they can't make the most of it.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Aston Villa

Villa are screaming for a penalty. John McGinn thinks it's hit Tyrick Mitchell's hand.

It has done but VAR say it's in a natural position, though.

  19. Amorim sacking 'feels spur of the moment'published at 19:43 GMT 7 January

Burnley v Manchester United (20:15 GMT)

    Peter Schmeichel
Former Manchester United goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

    On Ruben Amorim's sacking:

If United were planning to make a change then you'd think they would plan to move it to one of the international breaks. We had two in the autumn, we have one coming up in March, but to spring the decision like this, it kind of feels like it has been a spur of the moment decision.

You go through the previous decisions that have been made and it's not like they've got a great catalogue. When I talk about the timing, in light of that, one bad decision and story after the next, this time everyone says United are playing well and they are on the up. The narrative is quite positive. So why chose this moment to do this?

    Bournemouth 0-1 Tottenham

Bournemouth have actually responded quite well to falling behind.

Evanilson has gone close along with Marcus Tavernier, whose attempt from distance dropped narrowly wide.

Then Junior Kroupi puts a great chance wide but it wouldn't have counted as the offside flag was up.
