Lucas Bergvall looks hell-bent on scoring tonight.

Those are the sorts of goal when you are bottom of the league you need to tidy up on. They are quite basic things you can get right. Wolves don't deal with the first phase and the second one gets them.

Jhon Arias finds Hugo Bueno's run towards the corner of the box. Bueno looks for the far corner but he's off balance after Jake O'Brien's shove and the shot is nearer the corner flag.

Cucurella is supposed to be one of the experienced players. Going 1-0 down after 20 mins is better than being down to 10 men for 70 mins

    Bournemouth 1-1 Tottenham

Bournemouth have sold almost £100m in attacking talent in the shape of Dominic Solanke and Dango Ouattara.

But Evanilson has proved a shrewd investment.

That was his 14th Premier League goal since joining in August 2024 for £40.2m but only the second with his head.

I felt Amorim was still a few windows away before you could actually judge him. To give him only 14 months was wrong.

I don't think that there is a magic wand. I don't think there is a 'right' name out there. The amount of money and wastage at Old Trafford over the last few years has been criminal, so they have to get the next one right.

  12. Martinez and Heaven passing drillpublished at 20:00 GMT 7 January

Burnley v Manchester United (20:15 GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Manchester United reporter at Turf Moor

The clearest sign Manchester United will play with four at the back tonight is that Jonny Evans is presiding over a long passing drill between Ayden Heaven and Lisandro Martinez.

The pair have been used to smaller gaps between central defenders. Tonight they will have to cover more space and their sideways passes will have to go longer.

  13. 'Not sure United are ever going to resurrect that feeling'published at 20:00 GMT 7 January

Burnley v Man Utd (20:15 GMT)

    Rachel Corsie
Former Scotland captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

One of the hardest things in modern day football with the manager situation is that it does almost feel like a little bit of a merry-go-round. I'm not sure enough people understand that Manchester United feeling, even people in the club who have the power to change things. I'm not sure they are ever going to resurrect that.

  14. 'Think very, very long and hard who fits the bill'published at 19:59 GMT 7 January

Burnley v Man Utd (20:15 GMT)

    Peter Schmeichel
Former Manchester United goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

The thing about Manchester United is that is is not just any club. They have been through Mourinho, Van Gaal, big name managers and it's not worked. They come in, they know it is a short period of time, and they bring in their own systems, which don't work unless you play the Manchester United way.

The club should think very, very long and hard about who fits the bill. We've heard names like Tuchel, Nagelsmann, Xavi, Zidane all big names, but do they understand Manchester United? Or are they big in themselves and come in with their ideas? It has been too many experiments. I think it is time now they get the right person in and can look ahead for more than 14 months.

Penny for Rosenior's thoughts after the sheer stupidity and petulance from his new team. Cucurella can't complain about his red, and then half the team booked for continuing to moan. It's like watching a bunch of toddlers.

  20. Postpublished at 19:58 GMT 7 January

    Man City 0-0 Brighton

It looked like Georginio Rutter had made his run too early, but replays show that he's onside as he sprints through on goal.

But he takes too long to get a shot away and it's great defensive work from Abdukodir Khusanov, who rushes back and makes the crucial block.
