  1. CLOSE!published at 16:14 GMT 1 January

    QPR 0-1 Norwich

What an effort from Norwich's Pelle Mattsson!

His chest control allows him to volley fully 30 yards out and the ball goes just over the QPR crossbar by millimeters - R's keeper Paul Nardi was waving that one goodbye I think.

Whatever Norwich boss Philippe Clement said at half-time has clearly done the trick!

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:13 GMT 1 January

    Ipswich 2-1 Oxford

Oxford have a decent chance early in the second half.

Brian De Keersmaecker does really well to sneak through the Ipswich defence and get himself into a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper but his effort just goes wide.

  3. Postpublished at 16:10 GMT 1 January

    Charlton 0-1 Coventry

    Much better from Charlton.

Tyreece Campbell fizzes in a dangerous cross from the left but the ball evades everyone in the middle.

The league leaders are having to withstand a bit of pressure from their hosts at the moment.

What is Tonda’s obsession with always hooking Scienza after a short period of time? Surely if you want chances and dynamic play, you keep your best attacker on. It’s absolutely mind boggling.

  5. Postpublished at 16:09 GMT 1 January

    QPR 0-1 Norwich

Norwich have really come out the traps quickly after half-time.

Matej Jurasek gets his shot off but the ball is blocked and the resulting corner comes to nothing.

  6. 'Boro still on top'published at 16:09 GMT 1 January

    Derby 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Malcolm Christie
Former Derby striker on BBC Radio Derby

I'm sure John Eustace would have addressed his team at half-time and would have wanted to see a change in this half.

I think it's fair to say so far in this half we haven't seen that. Agyemang just seems off it today.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:08 GMT 1 January

    Derby 0-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough carry on where they left off as Delano Burgzorg curls a beauty towards the far corner but Jacob Zetterstrom is at full stretch to push it past the post.

The visitors keep the ball alive and Burgzorg cuts in from the left corner of the box and hits the side netting with a low effort.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:08 GMT 1 January

    Hull City 0-1 Stoke City

You felt like the home side needed to do something at the break to alter the course of this game.

Boss Sergej Jakirovic has looked to do just that, with Joel Ndala coming on for Kyle Joseph at the break.

  9. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 3-0 Portsmouthpublished at 16:07 GMT 1 January

    Scott Twine (51 mins)

Bristol City add to the Portsmouth misery!

Neto Borges beats his man and sends a cross into the box from the far side.

His pass finds Scott Twine who in acres of space has time to side-foot the ball home and into the left-hand side of the net.

  10. goal

GOAL: QPR 0-1 Norwichpublished at 16:06 GMT 1 January

    Josh Sargent (46 mins)

HUGE goal right at the start of the second half for Norwich City!

It's brilliant work on the right hand side from Matej Jurasek who puts it on a plate for Josh Sargent who simply can not miss.

A yard out, the American striker heads home to give the Canaries a vital lead.

  11. Caution advisedpublished at 16:06 GMT 1 January

    Swansea 0-0 West Brom

West Brom may have to walk a tightrope in the second half with George Campbell, Callum Styles, Alex Mowatt and Samuel Iling-Junior all picking up a booking in the first half.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:05 GMT 1 January

    Watford 2-0 Birmingham

Double change at the break for the visitors.

Lyndon Dykes and Marc Leonard are on for Willum Willumson and Alfons Sampsted.

  13. Postpublished at 16:05 GMT 1 January

    Bristol City 2-0 Portsmouth

    Andrew Moon
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Oh dear that was barely a contest in the first half.

Bristol City are two up and incredibly comfortable despite not getting out of second gear.

Pompey are struggling to cause any issues going forwards and look a side from a division below, something special is needed from here.

Pompey first XI a decent side but with all the injuries to key players it is clear the squad is not Championship standard. Disappointing afternoon in progress.

  19. As it stands...published at 15:58 GMT 1 January

Ipswich up to second as it stands but plenty of time for things to change.

Watford are flying at the minute too.

At the foot of the table, four of the bottom five are losing - and sixth-bottom Blackburn lost earlier of course.

  20. 'Ipswich totally in charge'published at 15:54 GMT 1 January

    HT: Ipswich 2-1 Oxford

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

Oxford got themselves an equaliser but we started to dominate the play when we regained the lead and we started creating more chances again.

As we came towards the end of the half, it looked like we'd get a third.

We're totally and utterly in charge of the game, I'd be surprised if we don't see more goals.
