    Southampton 0-0 Millwall

Millwall threaten the Southampton defence, much to the frustration of the home support.

Saints are struggling to get going up the top end of the pitch.

    Swansea 0-0 West Brom

Still little of goalworthy note to report from this corner of South Wales.

Skipper Ben Cabango aims a header goalwards from a Swans corner but it bounces onto the roof of the net.

Albion - who now have five men on yellows - then go close as Karlan Grant forces a good save from Lawrence Vigouroux and then can't force in the rebound.

    Preston 2-0 Sheff Wed

Preston make a couple of changes after making it 2-0.

Thierry Small and Daniel Jebbison are on for the home side.

How the stricken visitors would love to be able to call on that kind of depth from the bench.

Coventry captain Matt Grimes twists and turns but his left footed shot is deflected and easily gathered by Charlton keeper Thomas Kaminski.

    Southampton 0-0 Millwall

    Jo Tessem
Ex-Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio Solent

    Southampton look really average.

The play is slow and really laboured, the best team at the moment is Millwall.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:21 GMT 1 January

    Ipswich 2-1 Oxford

Ipswich have a chance to extend their lead but this time it's a great save.

  12. 'Oxford must be careful'published at 16:20 GMT 1 January

    Ipswich 2-1 Oxford

    George Elek
The Dub podcaster on BBC Radio Oxford

We've got to be a bit careful with how many players we commit forward.

If we're going to get anything out of this game I think we'll need Jamie Cumming to come up with a few more big saves.

Tom Ince grabs himself a hat-trick!

The ball is played out to the winger on the left and he thrashes a shot into the roof of the net past Birmingham keeper James Beadle.

That should be the three points for the home side.

  15. Postpublished at 16:17 GMT 1 January

    Preston 1-0 Sheff Wed

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park

Sean Fusire’s effort over the bar from 20 yards prompts the away end to sing "we’ve had a shot!"

You’ve got to feel for the Wednesdayites. They’ve seen their team give their all for little reward. This would be an 18th game without a win but not for want of trying.

  16. CLOSE!published at 16:17 GMT 1 January

Good work from Joe Rankin-Costello who cuts inside and hits a shot but it gets a nick on the way through and goes out for a corner.
