That was Eberechi Eze's first goal in the Champions League. I can't imagine he has hit a shot sweeter than that in his career.

I wonder what is going through the head of Liam Rosenior right now. He looks very ponderous on the bench as PSG continue to knock the ball around.

I honestly think Pep has single-handedly shifted our understanding of what ‘exciting’ actually means. I can’t deny this game has had loads of shots and chances, but is it exciting? To me, exciting means 5 passes from one end of the pitch to the other, not 500.

    Wonderful footwork by Brahim Díaz.

He twists one way, then the other before firing into Gianluigi Donnarumma's chest.

That is a special strike from Eze.

He takes the ball on his left foot and then smashes the bouncing ball into the top corner.

The Arsenal fans gasp as they watch it back on the big screen.

    What a goal!

Joao Pedro shows great tenacity to chase the ball and force a mistake out of Willian Pacho.

    Eberechi Eze

Janis Blaswich has been superb tonight, but can't do anything about a truly blistering strike from Eberechi Eze.

The ball is played to him, he spins and hits it on the half volley from 20 yards out and it zooms past Blaswich for an absolutely brilliant goal. What a hit. Wonderful.

What a night those PSG fans are having. They're having a party in the corner to the left.

What a display their team is putting on for them as Joao Neves almost passes one into the back of the net.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya is a bit lucky as he looks to have kept hold off the ball for too long and taken it out of his own penalty area before bowling it away. He gets away with it though.

Some much-needed respite. Time for players and fans to catch their breath.

It's a bit more subdued inside the Etihad as it begins to sink in...10-man Manchester City are heading out barring a sensational (and highly unlikely) turnaround.

    FT: Sporting 5-0 Bodo/Glimt (5-3 agg)

Sporting dominated Bodo/Glimt from the very first whistle tonight to book their place in the Champions League quarter-final.

It was display full of energy and belief here are some numbers to back it up:

    • 38 shots attempted - joint‑highest by any team in a Champions League match this season.
    • 726 passes completed - their most in a Champions League game this campaign.
    • 6 goals from substitutes - most from substitutes in Champions League this season after Paris St-Germain (9) and Arsenal (7).

It's a remarkable turnaround and a thoroughly deserved place in the last eight.

Arsenal are piling on the pressure but cannot find a way through.

The Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Janis Blaswich is having one of those nights at the moment where everything seems to hit him.

The Gunners have come close from corners, Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice.

They have had 10 shots compared to Leverkusen's one.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:34 GMT 17 March

Arsenal 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen (1-1 agg)

Leverkusen goalkeeeper Janis Blaswich is the only reason this is 0-0. Leandro Trossard has another effort well saved by the keeper, who can't hold on to the ball.

After a scramble it drops to Ben White, but he can't re-adjust quickly enough to send the ball into the net, instead knocking it back into the hands of a grateful Blaswich.

Blaswich up to six saves all night. Arsenal's frustration levels rising.

Chelsea need to take note of the lightening speed of PSG and realise that endless passing around does not make a top team. This tie is over, but they could learn for the future.

PSG walk the ball into the box. It's set for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and he finishes into the bottom corner.

30 minutes on the clock. Absolute mayhem at the Etihad.

    It should be 4-4.

Instead it's 1-0 to Real and Manchester City are down to 10 after their captain was shown a straight red card for handball.

Oh, and Pep Guardiola has been booked.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:30 GMT 17 March

Arsenal 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen (1-1 agg)

Leandro Trossard thinks he has put Arsenal ahead, only for Janis Blaswich to make a fine save with his legs to keep it goalless. Eberechi Eze controls the half volley from the following corner, but that is blocked before it can get to the keeper.
