Right, that's your lot on a night Manchester City and Chelsea both go out of the Champions League - and Arsenal march on.

Will any of their Premier League rivals be joining them in the quarter-finals?

Tomorrow, Newcastle face Barcelona (1-1 agg) at the Nou Camp at 17:45 GMT. Then Liverpool host Galatasaray (0-1 agg) and Tottenham are at home against Atletico Madrid (2-5 agg) - both 20:00 GMT kick-offs.

    Until then...

It [the quadruple] is on. I know it's a big ask and incredibly difficult to do still at this stage, but it is. They're into the final of the competition. It's against one of the best teams in the country at the moment in Manchester City but they won't mind that at the moment because they feel that they are the best at the moment, being nine points up. It's an opportunity that they would've loved at the start of the season.

In the FA Cup, they aren't in the same side of the draw as the better teams, the teams who have the experience. City have pulled Liverpool and Arsenal have Southampton. Arsenal have the most favourable draw in the Champions league as well.

No game is straightforward but it's certainly possible. They are in the position to do it with games and the quality of the squad. They're all fit and raring to go.

  3. 'Tomorrow we build-up to cup final'published at 22:56 GMT 17 March

    Arsenal

Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard: "From tomorrow on we work to Sunday's [Carabao] cup final and trying to lift the cup - that's one of our objectives."

On playing Sporting in the quarter-finals: "Good for them how they turned it around, I don't think it was easy. After the international break, that's something to prepare for, but now it's for Sunday."

On Viktor Gyokeres: "There's always a bit of adaptation and over the last months he has developed a lot. He is so strong, so quick, he makes so many runs."

FT: Arsenal 2-0 Bayer Leverkusen (3-1 agg)

    Matt Upson
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal were back to the Arsenal you see at home where the match starts and they are all over the opposition. They were all out, pressing, Leverkusen couldn't get anywhere. They didn't have many chances but the corners started coming in, and then we saw them get the chances. It took some brilliance by Eze to bring that goal and from there on, it never felt like Arsenal weren't going to go through.

In that second half, Leverkusen came out stronger but Arsenal just carried on playing their game. In this fixture they were comfortable, they were very business like. The stadium had a positive feel before the game and that just played into it.

If they face a side like PSG or Madrid, that will be the real test for this side. That's when we'll see what they're really made of.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to Amazon Prime: "It's difficult once you are 4-0 down and playing 10 men against 11. But we did everything."

On what the feeling is about the team's performance: "We have an extraordinary team and extraordinary group of players. The future is bright.

"It's a little bit of a learning. But it should have been 11 against 11. But we never know. Maybe we lose 6-0 but it's a fact.

"[Thibaut] Courtois is a fantastic keeper. First 15-20 minutes was good but after that it was 10 against 11 and it was difficult. In the end, Courtois was the best player on the pitch, so that means how good we were. The feeling is that give me the chance to play 11 against 11.

On Bernardo Silva red card: "Reaction. Instinct. It's a big punishment - penalty and red card."

  8. 'We thrive off expectation, it brings the best out of us'published at 22:47 GMT 17 March

FT: Man City 1-2 Real Madrid (1-5 agg)

    Real Madrid

Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold, speaking to Amazon Prime: "It's the most important time of the season. These are the important games, every one is kind of a cup final. There's an expectation at Real Madrid to go far in the Champions League and win it. It's embedded in the identity of the club. We thrive off the expectation and it brings the best out of us.

"It's not only big players, young players are stepping up as well like Thiago Pitarch who put in incredible performances last week and tonight. But at a club like this, big players step up on the big stage. Last week Fede [Valverde] put in one of the best performances anyone will ever see, tonight Vini [Jr] shows he's world class again.

"Everybody put in a shift, everybody defended well. Over the two legs, we deserved to go through."

On returning to England: "It was nice to get one over Manchester City, they've snatched a few medals from me and Liverpool. You know going up against Manchester City is always going to be tough, so we're proud of the performance.

On life at Real Madrid: "I knew what I was getting into, it's a completely different culture, language and style of football. Everyone's made me feel really at home from minute one, and encouraged me to be myself. The manager has filled me with a lot of confidence so hopefully I can stay fit and push on. He's enabled me to play the way I can."

On playing for England: "I've not spoke to him [Thomas Tuchel] but I know the squad gets announced this week so hopefully I get the call and I can play for my country which is always the greatest honour."

Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports, on Declan Rice's goal: "When you talk about technique, the ball just sounded, boff, and the reaction of all the players around tells you about it. That's why he's here"

"It's the Champions League. When you have four or five chances and if you don't put the ball in the back of the net, it gets frustrating. It was an incredible moment from Declan to finish the game. We want to try and get more chances like that for people because we have got a lot of players that can do that."

On if his substitutions were related to Sunday's Carabao Cup final: "It was good to rotate and get those players in but I had certain players that needed to come off because of the amount of time they are playing. That's why they came off, nothing to do with Sunday."

  10. 'All Arsenal will be thinking about is themselves'published at 22:41 GMT 17 March

FT: Arsenal 2-0 Bayer Leverkusen (3-1 agg)

    Matt Upson
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

At the moment, Arsenal are doing what they need to do to hold themselves up and get themselves in a position to be competitive and win nearly every game - and that's what they've done. By different ways and in different manners, they were more at it tonight, they really did suffocate Leverkusen. In other games, they haven't been but they're getting it done.

Worrying that Manchester City had two less games because they are out of the Champions League, they can't control it. All they'll be thinking about is themselves right now.

  11. 'The passion they show is remarkable'published at 22:39 GMT 17 March

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking in the post-match news conference, said: "We started the game so well and we were a threat from every angle. Their keeper kept them in the game and we needed a magical moment from Ebs [Eberechi Eze] to give us the lead.

"Then in the second half Declan's action gave us the opportunity to win the game and we had four or five situations where we should've scored a third but overall we fully deserved to win and be into the quarter-finals.

"Ebs is playing every three days, he has rhythm, has an understanding with the players and this [the goal] is why he is here. He is building an understanding with all of them and when you start to make key moments in games that lifts your confidence.

"Declan was immense, him and the whole team - the manner they go into every ball and the passion they show is remarkable."

Manchester City's Jeremy Doku, speaking to Amazon Prime: "I feel like we had a lot of chances. We played well, even with ten against 11, especially against a team like Real Madrid it's going to be difficult, but we did well.

"We're disappointed with the loss but it's a hard reality. When you experience the games, it doesn't feel like they were much better than us even though it looks it from the scoreline.

"It's a different Real Madrid [compared to the league phase], but every game is different. The first leg score made them play a bit more defensively, they didn't need to score. They've always had a great team, we know their quality. I feel like we did well today.

"This campaign will teach us some lessons, we will learn a lot for the future ones. We will analyse the game and see what we can do better and then look forward to Sunday.

On Bernardo Silva: "He's our captain, he's the most disappointed of all us. It's not his fault, he tried to defend, we are not angry at it, he's just unlucky."

Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr, speaking to Amazon Prime: "We weren't under pressure because we scored three goals in the first leg at home. We knew what we wanted to do but we still had work to do. Now we need to keep working hard."

On scoring the penalty after missing from the spot last week: "I was really disappointed not to score last week. I really wanted to score but it wasn't to be. But [Federico Valverde] gave me the confidence. He told me that today will be the day. I was able to do it and I'm really happy about it."

On his 'crying' celebration after goal: "The last time we came here, the Manchester City fans (who put up a banner which read 'Stop crying' after Rodri won the Ballon d'Or in 2024 ahead of the Brazilian) were making fun of me. I wasn't disrespecting City fans but it was a way for me to prove myself to them."

On playing under Alvaro Arbeloa: "We have been growing as a team and getting better and better. Two great performances against City. We are getting to know each other and playing better."

Arsenal goalscorer and player of the match Declan Rice, speaking to TNT Sports: "I'm shattered, it's non stop. We're in all the competitions still so it's been every three days since October. We deal with it the best we can but it's difficult. We find ways to win and it's all good. Everyone asks where I get my energy from. I just get this second burst of energy."

On his goal: "I stepped in front of him, the first touch set me up for everything, there was nowhere else to go so I just went for it. You find it in your belly somewhere to keep on fighting, to make the tackles, to win."

On Eberechi Eze: "There aren't many players that I've seen that can hit the ball like him. We need to get him on the ball more."
