If this carries on for another two legs it could be some of the best finishing we've seen.

It isn't just the fact he is four from four, it is the finishes.

For someone who lost their first seven games in the Premier League, credit to Josh Rock.

Josh Rock did not exactly have an easy start to life in the Premier League.

He had to wait until his eighth attempt to finally win his first game in the competition, but has now won his quarter-final in each of the past three weeks.

He takes on Stephen Bunting tonight, who beat a lacklustre Luke Littler 6-4 in Brighton last week.

Bunting is currently sixth in the table, while Rock is bottom.

    Result: Van Gerwen 2-6 Clayton

Excellent stuff from Jonny Clayton and he ends with an average just shy of 100 - 99.33 to be precise.

That's only a tad up on Michael van Gerwen's 97.97 and both men hit 180s.

The Ferret just had the edge on the outer ring, though, hitting 46.15% to MVG's 40%.

The Orange Army see both their men fall at the first hurdle.

One leg back but Jonny Clayton will hope it proves meaningless. Still a comeback has to start somewhere.

    Clinical from Jonny Clayton.

One dart at double 16 the visit after letting Michael van Gerwen back in.

But Mighty Mike can't get 101 and, in this mood, Clayton isn't going to give him another shot.

Jonny Clayton gives Michael van Gerwen half a chance when he misses two at tops.

But MVG can't see off 130 and Clayton comes back to hit double 15.

A two-leg advantage and the Rotterdam crowd are suddenly subdued. They could be about to see both Dutchmen fall in the quarters.
