    Price 2-3 Bunting

Gerwyn Price gets off to a flying start and gives himself at least two visits to see out 142.

You just cannot afford to let The Iceman set up an easy finish though, and he just about squeezes a double 20 with his final dart of his next visit.

    He pulls another one back!

It has changed for Stephen Bunting. He is now popping chances that he was missing a few weeks ago and he is limiting his opponents' opportunities. It is really well done from Stephen.

  3. Bunting holdspublished at 20:25 GMT 5 March

    Price 1-3 Bunting

Stephen Bunting doesn't look flustered though. He sees away a 68 finish which he tops off with a double 16.

The Bullet is looking comfortable out there. The crowd being firmly in Gerwyn Price's corner doesn't seem to be bothering him.

That double five from Gerwyn Price could be a big moment.

Stephen Bunting had silenced the crowd in Cardiff up to that point. They are more invested now.

A great reply from Bunting to start the fourth leg with a 180 though.

This has been a strange game so far...

  5. Price gets first leg on the boardpublished at 20:23 GMT 5 March

    Price 1-2 Bunting

Gerwyn Price hits back with the first 180 of the match but follows it up with a dismal 30 on his next visit.

Stephen Bunting will be disappointed with himself though, after catching double 20 just a little bit too low on a 116 finish.

He misses out on taking a three-leg buffer and Price capitalises on the mistake to get a leg on the board.

  6. Bunting holdspublished at 20:20 GMT 5 March

    Price 0-2 Bunting

Stephen Bunting is just easing through these opening legs.

He is unable to take out 142 at the first time of asking but finds a 52 finish in a two-dart combo to take a 14-dart hold.

That opens up a two-leg buffer for the Englishman. Nicely done.

That was thrown with authority. That is always nice.

  8. Bunting breaks to take leadpublished at 20:19 GMT 5 March

Stephen Bunting tries to find the bullseye for his first checkout of the night but, inevitably, he misses it when chasing an ambitious 132 finish.

Gerwyn Price gives him the opportunity to return and Bunting takes the first leg with a nailed on double eight at the first time of asking.

There's boos for the Englishman, who takes the lead over home-favourite Price.

Gerwyn Price is so solid and consistent.

He's only second to Luke Humphries in terms of consistent play in my mind.

He is the one to watch.

Right then, Gerwyn Price and Stephen Bunting have just made their way to the oche for our third quarter-final of the night.

These two have my heart when it comes to walk-ons. You just cannot beat a bit of Ice Ice Baby or Titanium!

Let's get this show on the road...

Gerwyn Price talking to Sky Sports: "I am looking forward to it. I want to perform and pick up some notes. I am always nervous or the first game, regardless of it is Cardiff."

Stephen Bunting talking to Sky Sports: "I feel the pressure is lifted now. I don't need to worry about that first win. I can just come here with a smile on my face and enjoy my darts.

"Hopefully the crowd are nice and not too many boos! I understand that it is Gezzy's country and I'll do my best regardless of if they cheer me or boo me."

Last week's win was much needed for Stephen Bunting. He's in the thick of it now.

He played so well and won tough matches. It was a really hard-earned win.

It is going to put his mind in a great place but he's got a tough little match first up against Gerwyn Price first up.

After winning night four of the Premier League Darts last week, Stephen Bunting will be hoping for more of the same in Cardiff.

The 40-year-old made the trip to Belfast on night three having lost all three of his previous quarter-final clashes, but he didn't let that stop him from dominating throughout.

The Bullet averaged 107 in his 6-4 quarter-final win over reigning champion Luke Humphries, before averaging 106 in his semi-final whitewash of night three winner Jonny Clayton.

Welshman Gerwyn Price poses a huge threat though, particularly playing in front of his home crowd and having already claimed a win on night two in Antwerp.

The Iceman has been on fire since the turn of the year and he hit three-figure averages 16 times in 24 matches last month, so there is every chance he will come good in Wales.

The winner of this quarter-final will take on either Luke Littler or Josh Rock, who are currently sat at the bottom of the table, in the semi-finals.

Jonny Clayton's run of quarter-final wins continues, he is yet to lose his opening game in the Premier League in 2026.

Josh Rock, Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen had already tasted defeat to start an evening against 'The Ferret'.

Clayton can now add Gian van Veen to that list.

Luke Humphries awaits in the semi-finals.

    Result: Van Veen 4-6 Clayton

Jonny Clayton has now won each of his quarter-final matches in the opening five weeks of this year's Premier League.

In addition, his latest win extends his lead at the top of the table and he is guaranteed to stay there by the end of play tonight.

With Gian van Veen and Luke Humphries both making quarter-final exits tonight, he is already sitting pretty on 13 points.

Jonny Clayton misses a match dart double 18 from 109!

But then Gian van Veen is unable to complete his 92 finish, for the double-double, although it was a relatively big ask.

You just can't give Clayton two bites at the cherry though, and he seals the victory with a perfectly poised double nine on his final dart of his next visit.

    Van Veen 4-5 Clayton

Gian van Veen has reached three of four finals so far in this year's tournament, and he isn't giving this match up easily!

He pulls another leg back with a brilliant 87 finish for the hold, throwing the pressure back on to Jonny Clayton. What can he do now?

The Welshman completes a 121 finish to pull himself to within one leg of a spot in the semi-finals on home turf.

Ooooh, this is getting interesting now!

It's not over just yet, he takes a stunning 94 finish.

Gian Van Veen has certainly been given the Wales welcome here, the pressure he must feel on that stage. And Clayton might just run away with it as as the home crowd continues to roar him on.
