It is raining 180s now with Jonny Clayton and Luke Littler going back and forth.

The pace of this match is unbelievably - trust me, it's getting harder and harder to keep up!

Clayton gets the hold, though. He edges in front again.

Luke Littler has reeled both of the Welshmen in now!

I would like to have seen the odds on that at the beginning of today. He's just got two big fishes against two different Welshmen.

There's no reason either player can't win at the moment, they are both playing really well. Fireworks incoming.

Luke Littler may have taken an early lead but the spirits are not dampened here in Cardiff as ‘The Ferret’ does what Little couldn’t in pinning double 10 to level the match.

The noise is palpable as Jonny Clayton follows it up with a 180 to start the next leg.

You can feel the crowd getting on Luke Littler's back now. The thing is though, that can help him at times.

However, he gives up an important hold.

  8. Clayton breaks backpublished at 22:34 GMT 5 March

    Clayton 1-1 Littler

Jonny Clayton might have thought his chance had gone after a couple of misses on the doubles.

But Luke Littler proceeds to miss chances himself, notably on tops, so Clayton can come back and hit it.

All square again and the crowd are in great voice again.

That break of throw could lead to a very quick match, especially if Luke Littler gets in a flow like he did in the semi-finals.

Never in doubt. If you thought Littler was going to be in trouble in the prem after his slow start, you don't know Littler!!

The Utilita Arena is ready and in fine voice here in Cardiff in what promises to be an epic final where these fans will be willing one of their own in Jonny Clayton to extend his lead at the top of the Premier League of Darts.

    Clayton v Littler

Boos for Luke Littler as he makes his way to the stage for the third time tonight, a stark contrast to the cheers for Jonny Clayton.

Exactly as expected, though, and Littler will be aiming to quietened the crowd quickly as he did in the semi-final.

If Luke Littler is going to cause an upset on Jonny Clayton's turf, he will want to do it properly.

If they both replicate similar standards to what we've seen already tonight, there's only going to be one winner and that's Luke Littler. But he has to replicate it.

All this talk about Luke Littler, I'm still interested in Jonny Clayton because what a night it could be for him to win here in Cardiff after taking out Gian van Veen, Luke Humphries and potentially Luke Littler.

It's a very tasty prospect indeed. He's eating all of this up.

This final is going to be fantastic. It's going to be fireworks. It's going to go right to 11 legs I reckon.

    Clayton v Littler

I know the fans in Cardiff wanted an all-Welsh final but home favourite versus world champion seems like a pretty tasty match-up to me.

Jonny Clayton has been playing superbly throughout the Premier League and Luke Littler has just sparked himself back into form.

    This could be a cracker!

I was hungry for it and it really delivered. I enjoyed every bit of that semi-final and I think Luke Littler did as well.

I certainly think that he capped off a match where he showed authority and determination. He just wasn't going to lose that. He just hasn't had enough of that display of attitude so far.

So these are all really encouraging signs for him.

Luke Littler's performance was awesome wasn't it? It was unbelievable.

From week one we said that this was the kind of performance we were expecting right from the very off. It has taken him a few weeks to settle in for whatever reason, but he negotiated a difficult quarter-final against Josh Rock and pushed on against Gerwyn Price.

    He was brilliant.

Gerwyn Price can have no complaints, that was convincing from Luke Littler.

A 111.05 average, 66.7% on checkouts and a 'Big Fish' to top it off.

Vintage stuff from the reigning world champion, who made a 111 average look like light work.

What a way to win it!

Luke Littler reels in the big fish - a 170 checkout - to get rid of one Welshman in Cardiff.

He'll go up against another in the final.

That was much more like it from Littler. A return to form was always going to come sooner rather than later.
