    India are absolutely flying.

  3. Ind 73-2published at 6 overs

Stand-in England captain takes the final over of the powerplay.

Jemimah Rodrigues fires a four through backward square, but then skews a shot up in the air.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman scrambles back from backward square, but some initial hesitation means she can't get a hand on the ball running back.

Having taken two, Rodrigues takes a single to finish a dramatic first six overs.

Players have got used to facing Ecclestone - with the pace she gets on the ball, and the way she attacks the stumps, they know what they are going to get.

A ninth boundary for Yastika Bhatia!

She sweeps penultimate ball of Sophie Ecclestone's over to the fine leg ropes.

She's on 40 from 17 - superlative work on her return to the India side after a year and a half away.

That's a great shot from Rodrigues, the way she opened up and got on the front foot to manipulate the ball through the covers.

England turn to Sophie Ecclestone to stem the tide.

It doesn't work - Jemimah Rodrigues drives the first ball of the over through extra cover for four and Yastika Bhatia follows that up by skipping down the ground to launch the game's first six over long-on.

    That's a partnership of 55 off 22 deliveries.

  11. Ind 51-2published at 4 overs

Having lost two wickets after six balls, India bring up their 50 from their 23rd.

Yastika Bhatia takes her side past the mark, reverse sweeping Tilly Corteen-Coleman for four through backward point.

If she doesn't concede a boundary in the powerplay, this will be a good over. But if she does, it's how she reacts.

  13. Ind 45-2published at 3.1 overs

    It's Tilly time.

She starts with a big looping full toss, but Jemimah Rodrigues can only pick up a single to mid-wicket.

This is what England need in the build-up to the World Cup. They need to be put under pressure like this.

  15. Ind 44-2published at 3 overs

Jemimah Rodrigues gets to face, having spent her first over watching Yastika Bhatia rack up the runs.

She gets her first four by whipping Lauren Bell through mid-wicket, but is then struck on the helmet by a throw from Charlie Dean while taking a single.

She passes a concussion test and can watch Bhatia inside edge another four to the fine-leg boundary.

Most expensive overs for England in women's T20Is since 2009:

    • 27 runs - Issy Wong vs India, 2026
    • 23 runs - Mady Villiers vs Pakistan, 2019
    • 22 runs - Laura Marsh vs Australia, 2019

Amy Jones probably could have stopped that second one.

Wong is the sort of character who can deal with this. She never shows if she is rattled.

  19. Ind 34-2published at 2 overs

    27 runs off the over.

Issy Wong sends another five wides down the leg side, then is sent through backward square for another four by Yastika Bhatia.

The India number three follows that up with another driven four past Sophie Ecclestone, who probably could have done better, at mid-off, then closes the nine-ball over by cracking her third boundary through point.

That's likely the last we'll see of Wong for now.

  20. Ind 17-2published at 1.1 overs

England had Linsey Smith as a opening bowler in New Zealand, but with the spinner rested it'll be Issy Wong first up at this end.

It's not a great start - the seamer sends five wides down the leg side, adds another wide down off, and then Yastika Bhatia sends the first legitimate ball of the over down to third for a boundary.
