Sometimes you've got to put pressure on the bowler and Amy Jones is doing that in this over.

And now Jones sweeps to the boundary. She might have to do this on her own.

  3. Eng 107-3published at 14.1 overs

Amy Jones relocates the middle of her bat to drill the ball for four.

Ruth: This is good tight bowling by India but if England lose this they need to look at how they conceded 19 wides - that's huge in T20.

  5. Eng 103-3published at 14 overs

Need 86 runs from 36 balls

As we've said, Freya Kemp can hit boundaries in these scenarios but this is a big ask for the new batter now. Amy Jones' boundaries have dried up too.

Nine runs have come in the past three overs.

Heather Knight knew what she had to do. She had to go at some point, she just needed to get more on it or find the angle.

Jemimah Rodrigues has been everywhere in the field! Heather Knight was trying to force it!

    Knight c Rodrigues b Charani 22 (Eng 101-3)

And there we go! Heather Knight knew she had to kick on and when she does she picks out deep mid-wicket. She departs for 22 from 24 balls. Not what England needed.

India are bowling well as a collective. They're backing each other up, bowling consistently and not offering up much width. If you look at the way India batted they moved much more around their crease to create angles, Heather Knight is looking a bit rooted.

  10. Eng 100-2published at 13 overs

Need 89 runs from 42 balls

The pressure is really building now as singles end the over. I feel like these two overs, first from Kranti Gaud and then Arundhati Reddy, may have taken the chase away from England.

    Too many dots...

  12. Eng 98-2published at 12.3 overs

Make that 11 deliveries without a boundary.

  13. Eng 98-2published at 12.2 overs

It's 10 deliveries since a boundary. Jemimah Rodrigues is charging around everywhere.

Nice skinny little over, very effective. We might just look back and think that was very decisive, going for three.

  15. Eng 97-2published at 12 overs

Need 92 runs from 48 balls

Only three runs from the over from seamer Kranti Gaud. That is superb.

If this game is won by India, remember those six balls when we come to dissect it.

  16. Eng 94-2published at 11.3 overs

Three dots from Kranti Gaud squeeze things...

England have scored 100 or more in the last 10 overs of a T20I on 15 occasions previously - however they haven't managed to do so since November 2024 (vs South Africa, Benoni).

  18. Eng 94-2published at 11 overs

Need 95 runs from 54 balls

England have boundary-hitters to come. That's what Freya Kemp and Dani Gibson have been picked for.

  19. Eng 92-2published at 10.4 overs

That landmark is followed by Heather Knight's first sign of aggression. A skip down to Deepti Sharma and four past the umpire.

To come in and hit a fifty with that strike-rate, that shows Amy Jones' skill under pressure.
