    Oh, how's that missed?!

Kaveesha Dilhari somehow survives trying to play Sophie Ecclestone off the back foot as the ball ricochets off her glove and past the stumps for a couple.

A couple of excellent catches in the field today for England. An ever scrutinised aspect of their performance, England's catching has been extremely solid in T20Is this year. They've taken 26 catches, and dropped six with a catch efficiency of 81%.

  5. SL 69-5published at 9 overs

    Target 220

11 runs from Kemp's first over but England are flying.

    Harshitha b Kemp 29 (SL 67-5)

    Immediate response from Kemp!

Brilliantly executed from the England all-rounder, taking the pace off and the ball nips between Harshitha's bat and pad.

    That was obscene! Love that!

Oh, what a shot that is.

Harshitha launches Freya Kemp's first ball for six! That was beautifully struck.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8 overs

    Karunaratne lbw b Dean 11 (SL 58-4)

Charlie Dean has two! Sri Lanka's woes continue.

Hansima Karunaratne is trapped on the crease by a fuller delivery, looking like she was caught between sweeping or not.

They have a quick chat about the review but decide against it and probably wisely.

This is the moment Wyatt-Hodge hit her century. I think TMS commentator Katherine Sciver-Brunt enjoyed it!

  11. SL 52-3published at 7 overs

    Target 220

    Oh, well played.

Gibson tests Karunaratne with a short ball but she hangs back in the crease and pulls confidently for four.

And Lauren Bell is being kept busy on the boundary, as the right-handed Harshitha guides the ball elegantly to deep third and evades her diving effort.

Gibson just struggling a bit with her line to the left and right-handed combination.

    Here's Dani Gibson.

Lauren Bell just can't stop picking up powerplay wickets. She now has 24 wickets in the first six overs in T20Is since the start of 2024. Among pace bowlers in the same timeline, only Iris Zwilling (34 wickets) from Netherlands has more wickets.

  14. SL 39-3published at 6 overs

    Target 220

In amidst the wickets, Sri Lanka's batters have played some cracking shots but they just can't match England's consistency.

Hansima Karunaratne crunches her first ball through the covers for two but the powerplay well and truly belongs to England.

WinViz is at more than 99% now in favour of England. The hosts' worm is equally as dominant.

This is a great catch from Freya Kemp. Imesha Dulani has absolutely nailed it, crunched it to Kemp who's taken it very cleanly and very well but it's flown to her.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.4 overs

    Dulani c Kemp b Smith 7 (SL 37-3)

    Another! England are totally dominant.

Sri Lanka are trying to attack but are struggling to find gaps in the field. Imesha Dulani connects nicely with a sweep off Linsey Smith but it flies straight to Freya Kemp at backward square.

  18. SL 37-2published at 5 overs

    Target 220

England look to pile on the pressure as they turn to Sophie Ecclestone early.

But the Sri Lanka pair start positively as Dulani paddle-sweeps for three before Harshitha drives gloriously through the covers for four.

  19. SL 28-2published at 4 overs

    Target 220

Harshitha Samarawickrama gets off the mark with a boundary, driving through the covers.

But that wicket of Chamari Athapaththu was the key one. She had no choice but to be aggressive in this chase, as Sri Lanka's most reliable performer.

Sensational from Danni Wyatt-Hodge! Running over her shoulder, they are the hardest catches to take but she's such an athlete.
