That's a sublime shot. I can't believe that went for six because she barely touched it. That was purely timing and placement.

What an epic evening. This is brilliant.

England will go on to to win this match easily. However, it's only Sri Lanka, not Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, or the West Indies. England have struggled under pressure before and those teams definitely will apply pressure.

Mithali Ayodhya's release point is really low and has all the vibes of the legendary Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga. Of all bowlers with ball-tracking data in our database in Women's T20s, Mithali's average release point of 1.34m is considerably the lowest of all.

In comparison, Lasith Malinga's release point in all men's T20s was 1.74m - one of the lowest of all pace bowlers with 100+ deliveries in our database. Sri Lanka have produced other slingy action bowlers - Matheesha Pathirana (1.58m average release point) & Nuwan Thushara (1.60m average release point). Time to add Mithali Ayodhya to the list!

  14. Eng 182-1published at 18.3 overs

The slingy Mithali Ayodhya returns to bowl the penultimate over for Sri Lanka.

Nat Sciver-Brunt ramps her third ball for four. Super stuff.

England are cruising now at 175-1 after 18 overs. Can they finish this off in style and go past the 200- run mark? They have previously registered 200+ scores on four occasions in T20Is, and only one in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

  16. Eng 175-1published at 18 overs

England still have an eye on 200 here.

I am loving this England squad. I think they've got a lot of experience in WBBL and WPL, I think they bring a lot depth. Even though it's a young squad there's a lot of depth.

Sugandika Dasanayaka darts her left-arm spin into the pads of Danni Wyatt-Hodge and England scramble a leg bye.

Later in the over Nat Sciver-Brunt spoons up a pull but it is dropped by Nilakshika Silva at mid-wicket.

Sri Lanka's fielding has been pretty average.
